Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesStuff was lazy, irresponsible. The never picked up the phone during a whole week. They never reply to my messages nor to my emails. There were just 2 power outlets in the room. No fan, no fridge. Ho hooks for clothes or towels in the bathroom.
Near metro. Lots of small restraints around. Shutylw Bust to 2 airoports right next to the inn. Internet(wi-fi) and AC (air conditioning) was more or less good. Breakfast was good in a different hotel (Ibis) not Ibis Budget (same floor just on the other side). So I woul recommend buying that one though it, €4.5 more expensive. But it stays open 30 longer and choices are better.

Singapore1) very long wait for the lift in the morning during checkout time or it is full so I have to use the stairs every morning. I was on the 4th level and because of the high ceiling the 1st floor stairway is long. Other guests do that too, walk down the stairs in the morning. 2) no drinks facilities in the room. 3) the noise from the closing and opening of doors in other neighbouring rooms are loud, can be heard from within the room even when I am sleeping.

GermanyThe room is just big enough for two people, not three, and not suited for big luggage. The area around the hotel is run-down and dominated by the gigantic roundabout of the Porte de Montreuil junction with the Périphérique motorway. A number of homeless families apparently live in their cars in the neighbourhood. There are many eateries and some supermarkets in the narrow and noisy street leading towards Paris centre. Not a good choice if you want to sit outside on a hot summer day...
We chose the Ibis Budget hotel because it is conveniently located for travellers arriving by car from the east. There is a reasonably priced underground car park in the same building with a fenced-off area for the hotel. The room and the tiny bathroom were functional and so was the air conditioning. Staff was friendly but somewhat helpless when it came to explaining the way to the car park when the elevator failed. The interior of the room is plain looking with a bunk bed for a child above the double bed. Breakfast was included in our rate. Not a lot of choice but reasonable, plastic wrapped quality. Unlike reported by others there is a staircase which is essential when one of the elevators fails. Fortunately, the Ibis Budget is located on the lower 4 or 5 floors.

Martiniqueit was way too expensive for what it was, I know it’s Paris, but almost 90€ for a room with mediocre air conditioning and poor cleaning, it is absurde

GermanyThe surrounding streets are chaotic and dirty from Saturday to Monday due to the flea market in front. Elevator barely works. You need time and patience to reach any floor. Room is standard Ibis Budget, but quite noisy. All in al worth due to the low price.
Large parking for those traveling by car.

United KingdomRoom for improvement. Even though it is a budget hotel and rooms are spartiate decor could be better done. A splash of colours would make rooms less impersonal than they are. 100 euros is not really called budget.

GermanyThe lift from underground parking lot did not work and we had to walk up 3 floors in the stair with smell of urine. The staff said the lift had not worked since 6 months. There was no water cooker nor hair dryer in the room. The furniture was cheap. There were only 3 lifts inside hotel, too few for the building. Every morning we had to wait the lift at least 15' to go down. I would not recommend this hotel for guests with and without kids.
