Rooms were very spacious and very clean. Staff was great and helpful. Great value that included breakfast and parking. Love that a good variety of restaurants and stores very close in walking distance.

Quite not clean towels as they seem to be overused from before, not properly working air conditioner made air in the night too heavy.

I would like to emphasize the exceptional service at the reception. Shortcut to the parking via elevator was also very confy. The breakfast was not very various in terms of choice however delicious and fine!

Great location, an easy walk from main train station. Very large rooms and bathrooms. Easy walk to the local sights. Nice views across the river. A very good base to explore the Normandy region. Great breakfast included.

The staff were so helpful. Room was clean and airy, air con was much needed. Breakfast was plentiful, basic but all you needed. Location could not have been better, close to the river and restaurants. A tram stop just outside the hotel to take you to the city.

There was no decaf coffee available on the breakfast buffet.

The hotel's location is marvelous for those traveling by train - only 2 blocks from the entrance to the main train station in Caen. Our room was reasonably large and very well maintained. We loved the buffet breakfast - there were many choices of food and everything we tried was fresh and tasty.

Plates

On arrival at breakfast, the room was very busy, resulting in no plates! I brought it to the staff’s attention but after 15 minutes still no plates! Had to leave as we were travelling south.

Everything about the hotel

The room is very clean, the breakfast is excellent love the place and would like to go back there. Close to all areas of Caen attractions, myself, my husband and my daughter really enjoyed the holiday

Windows cannot be opened (there is aircon and ventillation, so no real problem).

It is a modern, practical hotel. Our room was spacy and the bed was also good. The brakfast is really good. Parking is solved, the night is for free, however, if you want too stay in Caen for the day as well it can be costly.

Excellent location near underground carpark (we were stopping for one night to break up a long drive) and comfy inter-connecting rooms for the kids. The breakfast was great!

We stayed here (with pet dog) last summer as a convenient first night after arriving from the UK off the ferry late evening. Clearly, it was a good experience then because we did the same again this year - happily, with the same result - a very agreeable stopover. The staff were very helpful, the breakfast excellent, and the room perfectly comfortable.

It would have been preferable if there was designated parking for the ibis hotel as I had the impression there would be private parking upon booking. This is one of the main reasons I booked this hotel, so was surprised to find out prior to arrival that it is indeed a shared public car park with a nearby shopping centre and supermarket. In our case, having a fully parked car prior to embarking on the ferry back to Ireland, it wasn't ideal.

Very clean and comfortable, perfect for a one night stay on our trip before getting the ferry back to Ireland. We had a room with a gorgeous view over Caen. Very modern design and friendly staff. I requested an extra blanket and received it directly to the room within a few minutes. Excellent service.
