Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Fabulous location for us travelling from Eurotunnel to Alpes. Clean, comfortable and probably one of the best family rooms we have ever had. A complex with one double and one twin with proper beds for kids (no uncomfortable sofa beds or camp beds), perfect when travelling with older children or teens. Easy reach from motorway, close for a walk/meal round lovely Langres. Fabulous staff, great breakfast. You can’t go wrong with this one for a handy stopover! Well done Jum!

LuxembourgThe key distribution machine is a disgrace-it took more than 15 mins to get the keys, not something you wish for close to midnight especially traveling with kids. The charging station for E, which was the main criteria for chosing this hotel, was not working, despite warning the hotel we need to charge overnight and receiving a positive reply. Overall, an overpriced stay, in a far from charming location (not that it really mattered in this case), with quite a detour from our itinerary, only to leave with an empty batery in the morning meaning we had to make another stop at am expensive charging station. - far from ideal!

United KingdomSomeway out of the town so not suitable as a base for visiting the historic centre. And few other facilities in the area except one restaurant with a limited menu (which wasn't bad) next door.
Perfect for a stopover if you're travelling. And having a swim in the pool was a bonus.

Denmarkcalled to ask if it was possible to arrive after reception was closed. Sure, we have a safe where you can get the key. when arriving around midnight, trying to get the key from the safe didn’t work so had to call emergency number. first one couldn’t speak English, second one was angry because the reception was closed. ended up getting our key 1 hour later.

BelgiumThe swimming pool was not open at the time of our stay which was a disappointment. Continental breakfast was not included, and we were not informed of the rates at the time of confirming breakfast at check-in. It was a surprise to discover the rates for children (aged 6 and 10) are the same as for adults, resulting in the additional EUR 40 in our final bill and the final room rate unexpectedly 25% higher than we had prepared for. So be warned.
Room was very clean and of good size. The location was convenient as an overnight stopover. The grill restaurant next door is a bonus. It was a bit confusing to book "a room for four with private bathroom". Only on arrival we understand that it was actually two separate but connecting double rooms, each with an independent bathroom, so we got two bathrooms with the two bedrooms.

United KingdomLack of hot water in the morning. This was apparently due to it being busy but that seems a poor excuse when the hotel should be built to handle the number of rooms it has.
Very clean and the apartment we had was laid out great for a family.

GermanyProbably no fresh bed linen because there were many hairs in the bed. Receptionist more or less understood the problem but “could not” do anything about it. Hotel advertises with English speaking receptionists but 2 out of 3 receptionists I talked to hardly spoke it. Also it was really cold, bad isolation. Had to heat with air conditioning. Price is not fair for this.

BelgiumHair in the pillowcase. Full of dust once we moved the sofa to open it into a bed. We were 3 adults and a kid travelling and they only gave us towels for 2. Not enough space in the breakfast room.. We had to wait 20 minutes to sit to eat.
The restaurant just beside the hotel with a nice play area for the kids. Parking inside the hotel.

NetherlandsWe specifically searched for and booked rooms with airco. However these were broken in booth rooms. It turned out to be a known issue during check-out. No discussion possible on the subject - no mercy, no discount.
Check-in after reception-hours. Clean rooms incl. bathrooms. Breakfast is good, but requires additional fee.

NetherlandsWe made a reservation for a parking spot for a electric charger and when we arrived with a low battery, the spot was taken. I made a reservation in advance for this spot, which they confirmed in english, but apparently they later on sent us a new message in french that someone else has taken the spot. Which i didnt see while i was driving and couldn't read in french. In the morning, the employee refused to speak to me in english when we discussed this and wasn't caring in the situation at all, luckily a guest was so kind to translate for us. We had to drive another 45 min and charge for 50 min in the following morning to be able to continue our journey to southern France, which gave us a delay of 90 min. Thanks man.. don't make any promises you can't keep.

United KingdomWe had a room on the ground floor & were woken at 1.30am by cars parking, car doors slamming, dogs barking etc just outside our bedroom window. Needless to say we didn't have a good night's sleep as several cars shunting backwards & forwards into different parking spots & people talking just outside our window went on for some time.
The bed was very comfortable & breakfast was nice
