Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesClosures of the roof bar and pool and beach club due to Cannes festival prep was a bit upsetting as I would have booked elsewhere. The front desk had few options re what was open; but not a big deal.
It’s what you would expect from a JW Marriott great location, typical large scale American hotel catering to the business traveler’s needs. Would have liked more of a French touch, but this may be more of a business hotel.

United Kingdom• We booked Deluxe Twin Room with Sea View. During the booking process, we specified in notes a preference for a high floor and balcony, as shown in the room type’s photos. We also followed up with an email directly to the hotel, requesting the same and a few restaurant reservations. The concierge was unable to assist as he sadly lacked the necessary connections or relationships with the restaurant. When we arrived, sadly, the comments regarding our room preferences were not in the system and we ended up having a room on the 2nd floor with no balcony and a king size bed. After having me explaining, that I shared our room preferences with the hotel twice a week prior to arrival, the Front Desk Agent told me that I should have also called the hotel, which doesn’t meet my expectations from a 5* property. As a result, no rooms with our preferences were available. After very long and exhausting negotiations with the hotel team and front office manager, at 6 pm we’ve managed to get the room we originally booked. No compensation was provided. • The housekeeping service is inconsistent. When we first checked in, the room had obviously not been vacuumed. • Also, please note that the hotel charges a €5 delivery fee for in-room dining, but none of the times were we informed about this charge over the phone when placing an order.
Good location, nice room design with leather, mirror and wood finishes, renovated bathrooms. As a Booking.com bookers, we received a voucher for a round of drinks in the bar (a glass of Prosecco or juice), which was a nice touch. We enjoyed our interaction with the very positive and talented barman - Kaurentin. He will make you want to come back!

Austria(-)The pool area on the roof is no longer up to date - Without the fantastic view, the pool area would no longer be adequate for a hotel in this price range (-)The "hotel's own" beach in front of the hotel can only be used for a fee (Pier EUR 70,00, Front Line EUR 65,00, BED EUR 100,00, towel and umbrella included) (-)There is currently a large construction site next to the hotel. Work begins early in the morning, which can cause some noise (-)There is also a large construction site in front of the hotel at the moment. however, access and departure are possible
(+)the location of the hotel is excellent (+)The center with numerous restaurants and bars is within walking distance (+)On weekends you can park around the hotel for free (+)There is a garage in the hotel (price per day EUR 28.00) (+)Room service takes place twice per day (+)You get two free bottles of water per day as well as Nespresso capsules for the coffee machine in your room

United Kingdom- Gym is so small, considering the hotel size - literally only a running machine. People were just walking in and then realising and walking back out. - Considering the hotel reception area is beautiful and has had a complete reverb, they have forgotten to renovate the swimming pool area. So it’s very tired looking and definitely doesn’t match the five star hotel. - You have to pay around £70-80 ranging up to £150 per sunbed per day to use the beach. There’s no discount considering your staying at the hotel etc - A little bit tired looking, parts of the room facilities like skirting board etc were falling apart. - Check in is at 4pm and was much later for us as the house keeping hadn’t finished as it was peak season. So bare in mind if your travelling and have children etc and going peak season - Very noisy, so when your laying in bed you can hear people on the streets etc. also some weird noise in the room sounded like pipe work or construction was happening
Great location Lovely reception area Clean Service was ok

QatarSome issues that I had on my request to upgrade the room which wasn’t as per discussion and agreement, supervisor waived additional charges. Was charged extra for the third person per night even though I have given the hotel a notice that we will be 3 and no response of additional charges was communicated.
Location of the hotel was excellent. Room service was very fast.
