Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsOur room was a bit on the dark side as we looked onto a sort patio at the back. But these are structural issues which cannot be solved.
Very nice hotel due to location, service, staff, breakfast and rooms. Has all you need and excels with a warm and welcoming atmosfeer.

United KingdomExcellent hotel in the heart of the old town. On a very cute street with lots of restaurants. Despite this my room was silent at night with no street noise noticeable. Comfy bed and good AC. Nice modern interior. Friendly owners/managers.

United KingdomThe room was adequate in size, but only at the expense of storage (one hanging rail with shelf over. There is no lift. It's a building of historic interest, so this is understandable, but basically this is a hotel for the young and fit who don't mind living out of a suitcase.
The soundproofing is excellent. The location is spot on in the heart of the mediaeval city.

United StatesCan be loud in street facing rooms and you can hear the other rooms on your floor. I didn’t mind not having an elevator even though I was on the top floor, but some people might.
Great location, friendly staff, good breakfast, AC works really well, single rooms available

United KingdomIt's an old building so our room had some changes in level which ended careful negotiation... especially at night. The ability to make tea and coffee in the room would have been appreciated.
The interiors were beautiful, staff very helpful, very comfy beds. Great location close to Les Halles, good restaurants and shopping. A characterful, peaceful haven in the centre of the old town.

IrelandThe area around the hotel is mainly pedestrianised which made parking a little tricky. I reccomend availing of any of city centre underground parking areas and the walk will be short. The old town area is compact and 24 parking is approximately 12 euros
This hotel is in the centre of the old town and surrounded by numerous eateries. The room was clean and comfortable with excellent air conditioning.

United StatesThese are some of the smallest rooms I have seen. You have to sit on the toilet sideways because there isn't enough room for your legs. Very little storage space. Probably good for folks who travel with only a carryon. Steps are difficult and there is no elevator.
Breakfast is good and a reasonable price for hotel breakfasts. Hotel breakfast area is charming as is reception - very clean and modern.

United StatesNothing, other than the fact we had to leave!
Hotel L’ Addresse is a delightful, small, family run hotel in the heart of Tours. The style is low-key, fully coordinated, and welcoming. Public spaces make maximum use of the warm stone walls. Though in the very heart of Tours, our room was quiet with windows closed and AC on. Our room was exceptionally clean and large for a European hotel room. The proprietors are very kind, willing to answer questions about the area, and their children are an unobtrusive presence who can be briefly seen. Breakfast was nice. One would be hard pressed to find a better location for exploring the old town and the restaurant scene in Tours is really vibrant. Parking was a short walk away in public garage or lot.

United StatesThis is a charming little hotel, on a pedestrian street right around the corner from Place Plumereau. The proprietors were nice, and let us drop our bags off a few hours before check in so we could explore local chateaux. The lounge is beautifully decorated, and there’s a nice breakfast area. Rooms were small but clean, and the beds comfortable. Would recommend!

United StatesThe owners of the hotel are personally involved in every aspect of taking care of the guests. They are amazingly friendly and attentive. The breakfast was top notch. As it was the decor of the dining room and reception. Very unique design touches. It's located in an area full of restaurants, shops and activities in the old part of Tour. LuxembourgThe shower holder was broken, but this is mostly the case in hotels.
A fancy hotel on the most lovely old town street! The room was tiny, but designed by an artist surely. No kettle though which I missed. Beautiful view from my top floor window and total silence, just blackbird singing at the beginning of the night. Wifi connection was perfect and there were only French channels on TV.
