Not only was the hotel absolutely superb, but the owner was amazing. Louis did all he could to make sure we were all happy and made our 5 day stay a real pleasure. I cannot wait to come back one day.

The check-in was very friendly and efficient. I also liked the location, close, but not too close to the town centre. I recommend the breakfast, which is served and provides ample choice at ver high product quality. Probably you should also have dinner there, given how well the place is managed. If the restaurant is closed, as was my case, I can recommend Le Rendez-Vous, just 200 meters away.

We were checked in by a lady at the desk but when we came back down a few mintes later, she was gone adn reception was closed. We did not see anyone at reception at all, even the next morning! We did have a few questions we wantd to ask but it was all locked up. The restaurant was also closed.

No complaints to speak of!

La Bonne Auberge was a fantastic place to spend the weekend. We had incredible views of the nearby Alps, the rooms and beds were very comfortable, and the breakfast that was provided was delicious, with a lot of options to snack on. Above all else though, the owners were exceptionally helpful and kind. They helped us arrange for travel to some local hiking spots (we were car-less, but I would recommend bringing one if you're able) and had reservation suggestions for local restaurants because theirs was closed the night we stayed. Really a pleasure.

Location is excellent right in the heart of the small village. The whole place is personal and cared for. Our room felt newly furbished with very nice bathroom. Owners are very attentive and help you with tips on good hikes etc. Breakfast on terrace is ace.

We are a Swedish couple staying outside Nice who likes to visit St Martin de Vesubie since 20 years - 90 minutes and 1 Euro away by bus! We found the hotel La Bonne Auberge ten years ago. It is a very nice and friendly hotel owned by the same family since generations. Breakfast has reached continental level and the restaurant is one of the best in the village. Grandmother is still daily overlooking the restaurant and the reception giving excellent customer service.

If there were a couple of chairs in the balcony it would have been so nice to be able to sit out there. And there were no chairs in the room that could be moved out there.

The hosts were so helpful in every way possible... Including great restaurant recommendations. No one could ask for nicer hosts than them!
