Great quirky room with loads of space. Bed very comfortable and bathroom had everything and more. The location was perfect for exploring the town and out to the coast by foot. Parking was busy, but we had a space 100m from the door. Breakfast was excellent. One thing to note, access only from 5.30pm but there is a good bar in town to pass an hour if you arrive early.

The beautiful paintings and very peculiar decorations were amazing and even tough language was a bit of a barrier, the hosts were fantastic and very accommodating 10 out of 10! Definitely a place to return

Christelle is the perfect host, very friendly and accommodating but above all else such a lovely person. The room is very artistic as is the rest of the house which makes it very special.

Parking could be problematical. We were fortunate to find a space on the street directly outside the property - just large enough to accommodate our car.

The owner/hostess Cristelle is a very interesting character, warmly welcoming and full of initiative. The two sets of rooms in her family house are spacious, comfortable and adorned with her artwork! Our bedroom could have slept four and the adjacent large room boasted modern bathroom facilities as well as furniture and decorations. A good continental breakfast was included, served by Cristelle who is fluent in English and was pleasant and hospitable throughout. The building is not particularly impressive from the outside but is well maintained and is very conveniently located for the ferry terminal - which was our reason for booking.

We were cycling and it was easy to find from the port, less than 1km from shops, cafes and restaurants. Inside storage for bikes, a lovely quirky room at the top of the house. We even had a four poster bed! Christelle served a substantial breakfast, bread, croissants, preserves, fruit and yogurt with tea or coffee.

The property was quite nice. There are a lot of stairs, but that didn't bother us. Christelle was so kind and inviting and was the perfect hostess in every way. She made sure we were comfortable with the keys and entry, was clear about breakfast time and made sure we had all we needed. The old town was a short walk away and we loved walking through the winding streets. This was a highlight. I'd definitely come back.

There was nothing not to like at La Chambre d’ Hote de Christelle.

The hostess was very friendly and most helpful. The location was good because it was close to the ferry port. We were also pleased to be offered bag storage on our final day.

Beautiful house, friendly hosts, great location and very good value for money. Really great location for the ferry terminal, for bars and restaurants and last minute shopping with a Carrefour in walking g distance. Would love to stay again and highly recommend😊

Charming old world building near the centre of Cherbourg. Room to store our bicycles. Lovely rear garden with notable willow tree. Friendly cat and dog. Scooby Doo is an excellent name.
