Property a little difficult to find and a little way out of the town.

The room was immaculate and had everything you could want. Breakfast was fantastic - too much to eat! Very pleasant and friendly hosts.

Absolutely nothing. It was all good.

Our host Thierry and Michelle were very welcoming. Thierry told us all about the area and what happens in the town. Our room was very comfortable with an ensuite shower and toilet. Breakfast was huge and they had thought of everything from croissants to cheeses to meats and cereals with homemade yoghurts and jams. It was truly delicious. We stayed for two nights and were made to feel very welcome. We would recommend this guest house to anyone who wanted to stay in the region and we would not hesitate to return. 10/10.

Occasionally one is very pleasantly surprised by a booking. This was one. The house is lovely with an immaculate garden with pool and then a delightful annex for the guests. Breakfast included fresh croissants (of course) but also their own homemade jams and yoghurts. They have lovely dog Mocha who is friendly and placid.

The couple who owned the property were very friendly and helpful. They even booked a table in a restaurant for us. The pool was lovely and very enjoyable in the afternoon. Highly recommended for a stay.

The property was difficult to find as there was no sign outside

The host was amazing - he offered us drinks when we arrived & we could use the pool. He suggested somewhere for us to have an evening meal & booked a table for us - it was great. Very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was superb - Booking.com told us that there was no food available at this location which was incorrect - the breakfast was included in the price & was excellent.

Staying at La Chambre des Amis was the highlight of our holiday in France. Located in a quiet residential estate, the room is an annex to the main house with its private entrance. It is in fact a small studio, a cosy bedroom tastefully decorated with a patio door giving access to a decking area overlooking the pool, an en suite bathroom clean and well equipped. The attention to details to make the guests welcome surpassed our expectations: a fridge packed with drinks, a microwave, tea and coffee all these were at our disposal. Michelle and Thierry are the perfect hosts, welcoming, friendly and genuinely caring. They told us about the region and where to have a good meal in Parthenay which is 15mns walk from the property. After a restful night, breakfast was served in the main house as it was a little too chilly to have it by the pool. The breakfast table was stupendous; ham, cheese, croissants,danish pastries,fresh baguettes, a choice of delicious home made jams, fruit salad, home made yogurt, cereals, delicious tea and coffee, fruit juice. Thank you Michelle and Thierry for making our stay at La Chambre des Amis a truly unforgettable experience. We will definitely be back.

A little too far out of Parthenay if you wanted to walk in.

Beautiful well kept room with every amenity that you could want in a b and b. Host very friendly. Your own entrance, lovely pool. Great breakfast.
