There is nothing to say

This place is a super special experience. Run buy fabulous hosts Celeste and Patrick. You are treated like family. The rooms are decorated to a high standard with comfy beds and good shower. The b&b is in a quiet country lane, so you wake to the sound of bird song. Celeste is an amazing cook, and the evening meals and breakfast are fabulous with homemade produce starring. If you like boring bland hotels, don't stay here, but if you like a welcome with warm smiles and like to share an experience, then this is for you. We will be back as soon as we are able and wish both Celeste and Patrick happiness and success in all they do as they work very hard to provide an exceptional stay for us as guests. Thank you, it seems not enough.

Nothing we didn’t like

Everything, the property is full or character. It’s peaceful and tranquil. The pool table and football table was great fun. Celeste and Patrick are fantastic hosts and oh my god the food!!! Everything is homemade, we have not stopped talking amazing it all was. If you want to get a real authentic taste of France it won’t get any better than this . Our daughter has autism and they made special request for her with no problem at all. Can’t recommend highly enough

Free WIFI and quirky property, meet and greet was like seeing old friends, must be lovely location in the summer. A free breakfast, not toast and tea/coffee, but a full spread.

The hosts are absolutely beautiful and friendly people. The place is beautifully decorated. The breakfast is delicious and homecook meal (extra fee) is so yummy.The croissant made by the owner is the best I had so far in France. All the best, Celeste and Patrick. Merci Beaucoop for hosting.

Our second visit and a very warm welcome by the hosts Celeste and Patrick Beautiful room in a lovely old farmhouse. Celeste and Patrick cooked a super meal in the evening. Breakfast was substantial with great home cooked food

We were greeted by a friendly host. The room and accommodation were beyond expectations. The entire house is exceptionally well-furnished and it is clear that the host pays great attention to detail. The breakfast was home-made and freshly prepared. An exceptional homeliness and atmosphere reign throughout the accommodation. We are very satisfied and would definitely stay for another day if we were not traveling on.

Lovely historic bed and breakfast in rural setting. Rooms well appointed, characterful and clean. Extensive gardens and quiet, peaceful setting. Breakfast was amazing, one of the best I've had at a French B&B, very generous and good quality, with mostly homemade or locally sourced produce. We had an evening meal here too, which is recommended, again good quality homemade food, with generous portions - a chance to meet other guests too, from all over Europe when we stayed. Hosts welcoming and helpful. Would stay again.

This was our second stay at La Gerbaudiere and it was fabulous again. Room was clean and tidy. Great outside space to sit and relax. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. We had dinner as well which was very good value and included drinks. Everything was homemade and delicious. Highly recommended. Thanks Patrick and Celeste. Hope to see you again.

It was just very hot. Nothing the hosts could have done really. First night on holiday and we weren't used to that heat so didn't sleep very well.

Celeste and her husband were fantastic hosts. We chose to eat in the evening and sat with some other guests. It was brilliant and felt really homely. The other guests were very accommodating to our children! The breakfast was exceptional! It was a wonderful example of home cooking and living off what the land around them provides. Homemade jams and yoghurts!

Great food, the breakfast was particularly good with a vast spread of goodies, too many to eat! The hosts were extremely welcoming and ensured that we had everything that we needed. It was great fun to meet other nationalities.

We should have stayed longer!

Celeste and her husband couldn't have been more hospitable to our two young boys and us. The room, the pool, the service and food and the games room made it such a relaxing arrival in France after a long journey from Scotland.

Celeste and Patrick were so welcoming to us and the children. The rooms were very clean and a decent size and the food was all homemade and very tasty, particularly the evening meal where Celeste had gone to the trouble of preparing a beautiful meal for the adults and also a delicious child friendly meal for the children! Nothing, it was perfect!

From the moment I arrived, the lovely Celeste & Patrick made me part of their family! Their charming Chambre d’Hote is clean and comfortable with everything that you need for a relaxing stay. The highlight, however, is their dinner and breakfast which is all beautifully home made and served in their kitchen which is a lovely way to get to know them and the other guests. Dinner is a delicious multi course affair with a home made cider aperitif for me, and Patrick keeping the wine glasses topped up. They are both lovely and natural hosts and we shared a lovely evening! In the morning, the breakfast table literally groans under the weight of the food and drink including Celeste’s amazing home made cakes and pastries - perfect for a hungry cyclist! I genuinely hope I can return soon as I’m missing them already!

Beautiful accommodation in a lovely quiet rural location. Mme Amey is a fabulous host and would highly recommend her evening meal option. The food was superb with much of the produce being sourced locally. The pool was incredibly welcome too after a long hot day of cycling.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

Peace, tranquility, friendly hosts, excellent and plentiful home-cooked food. The house was down a private lane so no passing traffic. We had a large comfortable room, with a large bathroom. Our hosts were very welcoming.

The property is in a quiet, rural location. Our room was at the top of the property and was large, clean and very comfortable. . We were in contact with Celeste, the owner and host, when we booked the room and organised an evening meal for when we arrived. It was a lovely home cooked meal which consisted of an aperitif, starter, main course, cheese and finally dessert, all with wine and a basket of crusty bread. We certainly weren't expecting the quality of the meal that was served to us by Celeste and the price was more than reasonable. Breakfast was just as good, with all the bread, pastries, jams and preserves on offer being home made. Overall this is one of the nicest places we have stayed and we will definitely go back there if we are in the area. Thank you Patrick and Celeste for a lovely stay!
