Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

GermanyThe hotel rooms are directly above the restaurant of the same name (which is very good), but whenever the restaurant is in operation, very loud pop music is played out of speakers that are on the ceiling right underneath the hotel rooms on the first floor. Even with the door to the stairs and the room door and window firmly closed, the thumping of the music can be heard very loudly. The restaurant officially closes at 2200, but the music continues until just after midnight. My six-year-old was struggling to sleep, given the noise. Thankfully this is a kosher restaurant and was closed for the sabbath on the last two nights of our stay, which gave us much-needed peace and quiet.
This could have been a five star review. A hotel close to the beach, a large room with a mini kitchen, nice bathroom, all very (IKEA) modern...

United StatesThe music from the restaurant below was LOUD until at least 11:30pm and this on a Thursday night. It wasn't just music, it was like being above a disco with the speakers pointing at our room. Thump, thump, thump, thump. The bed wasn't really all that comfortable. There was wifi but the owner put the code into my phone and it worked sometimes but didn't work all the time. They could at least put the wifi code in the room. We had to leave early in the morning and couldn't figure out how to get out.
The room was spotless and modern and spacious. For our purpose the location was ideal, a 2 minute walk from the beach
