We were very happy with the appartment. The owners have a restaurant in the same building and there are others in the vicinity. It was still very calm.

We didn't stay long enough.

Such a pleasant change from the pokey hotel rooms we had been staying in. Our apartment (Vincent) had two spacious rooms with very comfortable beds. Light, bright and clean. About a 5min walk to the town centre/markets, so super easy to walk to a boulangerie to pick up breakfast. Being located a little out of town centre also meant that car parking was easier (metered/pay parking during the day). While there is no car access directly to the front door, it's only about 50m from the nearest street. Train station is also not far away on the same side of Avignon as the apartment. Late check in, but we just adjusted our tourist activities on arrival day accordingly. Shame we didn't plan to stay longer to take more advantage of the facilities and beautiful Avignon.

The location was great and the hosts considerate in leaving basic items for us. We were concerned the apartment was above a restaurant but it was very quiet at night. The apartment was well equipped and spacious and the bed was very comfortable.

Everything was perfect

This 2 bedroom apartment was huge with large double beds in both bedrooms. Beds were very comfortable. The washing machine was very handy. Very big bathroom with separate wc. Air conditioning throughout which worked well. Over 3 weeks in France we stayed in 7 different places and this was easily the best.

No lift and we were on the second floor but we did know that when we booked. The host took our luggage upstairs for us. It would have been great if tea and coffee was provided. Maybe providing a drying rack / clothes horse to hang washing on as we were using coat hangers, chairs etc. There was a clothes line off the window but we didn't have pegs do not useful.

Big apartment in a good location. Hosts had a restaurant downstairs so were accessible if needed. Washing machine was great to have. It had a great sized kitchen, dining, lounge area. Bedrooms were adequate size although 1 was too small to open suitcase in but we left that in the lounge room so that worked well. It was lovely to stay in what I expect is a typical French apartment. Overall we really loved the apartment. The host arranged / booked a taxi for us which was great as being in the old town no taxis are driving by to hail.

I had to wait for a while (an hour and half) to collect the key.

The apartment was spacious, had 2 bed rooms and a really nice clean bathroom. Very well equipped - every room had AC, there was a washing machine, TV, towel warmer, stove, cookware and much more. The location was good, about 12 minutes to the railway station, tourist information centre etc. I forgot my charger and the hosts kindly called me on my phone and told me about it. Since I was still in the city, I could go back and collect it. Special thanks to them for taking the trouble.

A balcony would be nice and the stairs are very steep if you have big bags as we did but these are hardly faults in the accommodation as advertised.

The air conditioning was superb and much needed. Everything in the apartment is new and high quality. The restaurant downstairs owned by the same proprietor is excellent. Although the location seems a bit far from the centre, it works really well for the train as there are frequent buses from the nearby gate to the train station, as well as to places like Villeneuve.

it’s noisy at night, both from the bar/restaurant downstairs and people in the building. lots of hollering and door slamming. And be prepared to haul your luggage up 2 1/2 flights of stairs.

It is impossible to find fault!

La roue des teinturiers is set within Avignon's old town, on a picturesque street beside a stream, complete with waterwheel and several cafes and restaurants. All are very popular and one is even owned by your hosts and very good. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated with a chic style and top quality. Huge bathroom with shower and fully equipped kitchen, with everything you might possibly need to self cater. The beds are incredible! Absolutely huge and the most comfortable I have slept in with quality duvets and linens. It was a dream. Your hosts welcome you with warmth and hospitality and you honestly want for nothing. Superb location. Impeccable accommodation with a touch of indulgence and the most personable and accommodating hosts, a jewel of a place to stay in Avignon. Recommended without hesitation.

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful property. The host was easy to contact and very helpful. The location is perfect for exploring Avignon and there is parking available close by. We would be more than happy to stay here again.
