We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomThere was nothing we really didn't like, however just a few small improvements would have made me score this lovely little property 10/10. They need to have an iron with ironing board and also a hairdryer which they advertise on the booking site. They should also provide a few more knives, forks and mugs as if there is more than 4 guests its a case of wash and go. We also felt some instructions would have been helpful for emptying of the bins and recycling, other than that the owners were on hand when sending a quick message. All round a lovely place to stay and we will be booking again.
The location to the centre of the village is excellent. The facilities were good, lounge, dining area and two very comfortable bedrooms. Nice bathroom with a large shower and bonus 2nd toilet in the utility room.

United KingdomGeneral condition the house. The property is just not clean. Several facilities claimed are just not true EG. No hairdryer, no iron or ironing facilities, no free toiletries ( apart from some left by previous rentees) No cleaning products, no wardrobe, no dressing room. Cooker filthy, shower disgusting, dirty dishes left in dishwasher. Outside garden totally overgrown weeds everywhere, empty water bottles strewn in garden. The stairs in house going up to bedrooms are a danger as the steps are too narrow. We ended up buying a hairdryer, but we're not prepared to buy iron or ironing board as these should have been provided as per website. In conclusion, this rental is definitely not fit for purpose. The general cleanliness is lacking in every way. I would suggest that booking.com who we have used many times previously should rethink this property as one that deserves to be on their site. How it can be described at 4.5 and fabulous beggers belief. We would welcome some feedback from booking.com Yours faithfully, John and Tracey Buick.

United KingdomWe arrived very late at around 10.30/11pm.. very dark. First impressions were of a damp, musty smell which we attributed to being closed up and potentially not used often. But then the reality set in after visiting the ground floor toilet. Excrement splattered around the rim, urine stained down the ceramic bowl and yellow staining on the vinyl floor. The second toilet upstairs was just the same . The bathroom shower was thick with mould , the curtain shower broken and dirty filthy cloths/sponges left out on display in both the bathroom and the kitchen. The sofa was full of dark long hair which suggested a pet possibly and in general there were thick clumps of cobwebs hanging of curtains and lamps. The oven was disgusting and should be discarded as should the microwave and fridge. In one of the cupboards there is a plethora of dried food goods which is not COVID safe during these critical times. There was also a loaf of bread on the kitchen side dated 28/8/21, 5 weeks out of date! Just no care show or given to the welfare of the visitors. We have complained to booking.com and still awaiting an answer which in itself is unacceptable to wait this long as the photographs speak volumes and cast no doubt on our findings. The owner when we initially contacted was incredulous and quite arrogant in their response, and quite dismissive blaming the cleaners . However it was the owner I was communicating with during my journey to the property and they were waiting for me at the property so I can’t quite accept that they were unaware of the level of poor hygiene that we encountered just 90 minutes after they left the property . One positive was the bed and the linen which were clean , thankfully. We would have left this property and sought other accommodation had we arrived earlier but due to our late arrival at 11pm and exit at 7am we had no choice but to stay.
We chose the property based upon its location which is excellent if your wanting to be in Villereal, although the church bells sound from 7am which is next door!

Easy to find and hosts rang to welcome us and advise that the property was ready for our stay. The place was comfortable and very well equipped plus in an excellent location. Overall highly recommended.
