How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The hosts Sylvie & Pierre were very welcoming, friendly, helpful, always smiling. The best hosts we’ve ever had. We had both guest rooms which were in a separate part of the house. The house is newly built by the owners. We were invited to use all their facilities (pool, gym, terrace) but we were out and about. Breakfasts were copious and freshly made. And beautifully presented. The house is in a quiet area. The place is rightly popular - we booked a 4 night stay a year in advance!

It was a wonderful location, lovely arranged and absolutely fully equipped. Sylvie and Pierre make the stay unique and with a very personal touch. They make their home a home for us as guests as well! Absolutely amazing and very, very friendly. We would always recommend it. Awesome Pool and unique Villa, lovely room - all decorated with a lot of heart and joy. Incredible breakfast served by Sylvie each day - no matter what time needed 🙏

Great spot to run away from city noise, but close enough to be there pretty quickly. Breakfast was superb. Overall atmosphere was great. Loved gym and morning dip in the pool. Room was spacious clean and comfortable. Spacious parking spot.

absolutely nothing. I guess the fact that we did not stay longer.
Breakfast was very beautifully served, the tableware was precisely selected and beautifully set. Sylvie served pancakes, croissants, bread and pastries, almond cookies, yoghurt, self made jams, juice, berries and fruits. Everything tasted absolutely incredible. You will enjoy it believe me. The house is very clean and well maintained. You can see from the photos that the interior decore is made with taste and precision. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There are toiletries, 2 bottles of water and welcome snacks served to the poolside..It was like visiting a dear relative. There is an open terrace from the bedroom facing the side of the garden. It is very quiet and private. The pool is quite big and the poolside is pretty spacious so you can find a sunny side or shade for relaxing. The hosts are the most warm and welcoming people I have met. You will feel that these people love to host. Sylvie will make you feel very welcome and suggest you the best places to visit and make you feel welcome. You will feel the elegance in your stay. + There is a cute dog Charlie who will steal your heart:)

Super friendly, welcoming and helpful hosts. Vey well maintained property with cute garden. It was always good to have conversations with Sylvie. She helped us with a lots of recommendations around. We actually changed our plan and went to one of their suggested places and it was totally worth it. They serve the most amazing breakfast. We felt like like we were home. Highly recommend this property. Great location and easily accessible from Nice, Cannes, Antibes.

We loved absolutely everything about our stay at La Villa Miel. We did not want to leave. Sylvie and Peter are amazing hosts taking extra special care of you. They are just lovely people, caring and considerate. Recommending places to eat and visit. Sylvie's breakfasts are an absolute feast. We were very sad to leave.

What a wonderful holiday at Villa Miel, this is a place to cherish Lovely hosts, Sylvie and Pierre, they do everything to make you feel home, they adapt towards your needs... This is what holiday is.... They are so warm welcoming... Spacious rooms, every day cleaned like you enter the room for the first time. Breakfast to look forward to, fresh and home made... so delicious. Very nice pool, to cool down and relax. Very good location between Cannes and Nice, 5 min from the small city Valbonne.

Written by my wife - Anushka Nagpal. We travelled together. This place sets a new standard for BnBs and I think it beats luxury hotels for the a number of reasons: - Sylvie and Peter are not just amazing hosts but also lovely people! They genuinely like to care about people and love to help. And they hit the perfect balance between giving your privacy (when you need/want) and also being great hosts. Sylvie is a lady with a heart of gold who loves her job and is passionate about helping people where she can. If not for BnB, I would suggest to just go and meet this lovely couple! - The place defines all of this all at once: Spotless clean, character, fun, serenity, character, modern and relaxing! Their property could easily be on one of the magazine covers - it is that beautiful! - The food - where do I start! I would not give away the details, you just have to go and try for yourself! - Location - closeto Nice to be easily commutable from international/national transport links but also far enough to let you enjoy the hills and the sea! Would highly recommend - there are some places which are 11/10 and this is one of those!

A bit far from the sea, but still in a very nice forest area.
The most striking feature was the kindness of Sylvie and Pierre, the most pleasant hosts you can think of. The second great feature was how clean the place was. The house itself is modern and very pleasant. Great place between the sea and the mountains. Perfect to visit inland villages, we liked Valbonne.
