I can warmly recommed this hotel. The host of the hotel, Anthony, was really friendly and you feel like you are with friends. He even made us a super tasty dinner in the evening. There was also private parking place for our motorbike.

Signage for the hotel

The location of the hotel was not well signposted -took us a couple of tries. Gardens were lovely and the parking secure. Antoine was very helpful in recommending/booking us a superb restaurant.

We had hoped to eat at the property but they didn’t do evening meals on Saturdays. Unfortunately 2 of the restaurants in town I tried to book were closed in July! The property is a good 10 minute walk from town which was fine for us but maybe not some.

We visited in July and the rooms were clean, airy and spacious. We booked a suite as we weren’t sure if our son was travelling back with us. Both rooms looked great and bathroom was modern and well equipped. Didn’t need second room but it looked very nice. Hosts were helpful and breakfast delicious. House was quirky and I liked the period decoration.

Everything! An exceptional hotel in Coutances just off the main road and you immediately step into peace and tranquility. Antoine is a perfect host, extremely warm and welcoming but not intrusive. The hotel has been renovated to perfection with absolute attention to detail and everything has been thought of. A perfect room, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable, in a perfectly charming hotel within lovely peaceful gardens. A delicious breakfast with plenty of choice including some home made produce. Antoine gave us good advice about taking an alternative route to Cherbourg to avoid the traffic due to a very large agricultural show in the area and nothing was too much trouble for him. We would love to stay again and would definitely recommend this lovely hotel. We would give it 11 out of 10 if we could.

We had a lovely stay at la Villégiature. It's a beautiful house, which has been renovated to a very high quality with a whole lot of style. Our room was spacious with lots of lovely features and thoughtful touches - it felt luxurious and relaxing. Best of all were our hosts who were very warm and instantly made us feel at home. Even the breakfast was fantastic. One of the best places we've stayed, to be recommended without hesitation.

The house itself is a work of art! Tastefully decorated, with spacious rooms and the most qualitative and tasty breakfast we had during our 10 day stay in France. The hosts are super nice and helpful. We loved it!

Nothing we didn't like. But Clement and Antoine need to update their website etc regarding the current availability of an evening meal. However, there are a few reasonable restaurants in Coutances within walking distance.

Breakfast was included in the price and was a superb continental one with the option of eggs or crepes. Additionally, you could help yourself to more coffee, tea and food as required. The location was good for accessing Normandy and for a stopover before travelling onto Brittany. The hosts, Clement and Antoine were very customer focused, friendly and exceptionally helpful. Their work restoring an historic building and extensive gardens is very impressive. Coutances has a few interesting places to visit as well as a superb RC cathedral which dominates the town's skyline.

Everything was perfect

I felt like staying in a little fairytail of a hotel. Entering the garden you feel immediatly in a different world, because of the magnificent plants with multiple seating areas. The hosts are wonderful and immediatly offered drinks upon showing me the whole house. I forgot to register that i came with a dog (i booked in a hurry, because my car broke down) and they were happy to great my dog and let us use the garden fully. The rooms and bathroom are super light and big. The breakfast was to die for, with selfmade baked goods and jams. If you want a stay were you truly feel welcome and the lovely hosts take their time to chat with you and give you tips for your trip, this is the place. I will recommend it to everyone. I was so stressed because of my car problem and they and their house with this love to detail made me calm down in no time.
