Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandLovely one night stopover off motorway. Emilie and Matthias are wonderful hosts. The building and the location are tranquil and relaxing. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast. Matthias kindly contacted us in advance to discuss our preferences and prepared a lovely vegetarian meal. Excellent value for breakfast and dinner.

The setting was comfortable and relaxing and we were warmly welcomed by the Hosts.. Satnav found the house really quickly. Our room (Nature) was very well arranged and everything we needed was there -the colours were calm and inviting. The lounge area was comfortable and quiet with sofas and round tables where we ate our evening meal - a large baked-Camembert, followed by duck and a tasty dessert. Wine too. Breakfast was very country French both filling and tasty. A totally relaxed stay!

The best aspect about staying in La Riviera B&B Chambres d'hôtes is wonderful friendly accommodating hosts. The country location by the river is beautiful - close to both Bordeaux and Saint-Emillion, and they have the cutest petit goats! The cosy shared living area has a lovely fire so would be lovely for the cooler nights as well the warmer months We stayed in the Balneo suite which was so romantic, spacious and has the most amazing jacuzzi. And lastly the food - whilst the dinner is designed to be smallish as it is a B&B, the hosts accommodated our dietary needs - vegetarian, and provided delicious high end cheeses with salad and fresh baguettes, and of course lovely wines. Tip: don't miss out on the Bordeux reds and the Rocamadour cheese.

This is a great place to stay. Hosts were amazing and went out of way to make you feel at home. The location is great right on the river bank, loved the goats, cat and dog. Dinner was brilliant - we could not stay for breakfast due to onward travel but hosts provided a take away which was lovely.

A True Gem in Bordeaux: Authenticity and Excellence in Every Detail As someone with 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, a sommelier background, and managerial roles within food and beverage as well as rooms division in some of the world's top hotel chains, not to mention Michelin-level restaurant experience, I don't use the word 'exceptional' lightly. However, my recent stay at this bed and breakfast in the Bordeaux region can only be described as such. While I had seen high praise in earlier reviews, my own expectations remained modest. It is rare, even in our industry, to encounter what we term 'authentic service stars,' but the couple running this B&B are precisely that. From the moment we arrived, we were treated not as guests, but as cherished family members. After a long journey, the opportunity to unwind in the pool with a chilled glass of local white wine was not only welcomed but felt luxurious. Our room, curated with a unique aesthetic that larger hotels simply can't replicate, felt both elegant and intimate. The common living area, well-equipped with robust Wi-Fi and efficient A/C, conveyed an air of refined homeliness that immediately put us at ease. The evening's dining experience was another high point. A charcuteries and cheese platter commenced our gastronomic journey, followed by a locally-sourced duck confit that ranks among the best I've ever had. Accompanying this was a remarkable local red wine—so good that I purchased an additional two bottles to take home. The devil is indeed in the details, and this sentiment permeated every aspect of our meal, and our stay at large. Breakfast the next morning featured classic French croissants, a family recipe of French toast, and a selection of fruits, yogurts, and hot beverages. I can say without reservation that this bed and breakfast has impressed me on every level.

Super welcoming hosts, who have transformed an old barn into a magical spot on the banks of the mighty Dordogne. The food was superb, both dinner and breakfast and of course some wonderful recommendations on wine! For us it was the perfect overnight stop on our drive South from the U.K. to Portugal. We hope to return soon!

What a find! This is the most wonderful place. Matthias and Emily are so friendly and hospitable.. and following their dreams of having a B&B.The dinner was delicious, sadly we had a really early start so didn't have breakfast. Our room was lovely with a really comfortable bed,and good shower needed after our 12hr drive from the UK. I just wish we had arrived sooner in the day so we could have enjoyed the garden by the river Dordogne more. We would definitely stay again.

Fantastic food (my husband is gluten free and they managed this with ease). On the evening we arrived we sat on the deck overlooking the Dordogne, which was simply beautiful. We were treated to the sight of surfers riding the tidal bore up the river. Simply amazing! Inside the accommodation is very stylish and super clean. We could not have felt more welcome.

Emilie & Matthias are the best hosts we have ever stayed with. from before our arrival to the time of departure they could not do enough for us. Amazing personal customer service if we could give 11 + stars we would! They were always at hand and attentive when needed, anticipating every need whilst being discreet when privacy was wanted. The property is situated right on the banks of the river in a beautiful secluded and peaceful setting with many birds, Buzzard - a haven of wildlife…. They have little goats which are very cute and entertaining to watch jumping around in their enclosure! We stayed in the Suite which was amazing for a romantic break which a separate seating area with the biggest spa bath we have ever seen! With an additional bath in the bedroom, we were able to unwind and recuperate in style. The bed was extremely comfortable and the whole layout was thoughtful for our comfort. We ate Dinners and Breakfast and the food was delicious and homemade! we particularly enjoyed sitting on the terrace overlooking the river for breakfast enjoying Emilie’s home cooked breads and cakes 😋😋 These guys are a fantastic team and work tirelessly for their customers. WThey deserve every excellent review e booked based on the excellent reviews and can say in all honesty they deserve every excellent review on here! fabulous fabulous fabulous 😄😄😄
