How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

My friend and I stayed here and absolutely loved it! Very clear and helpful instructions to get the keys and to park our car. The apartment is in a great location, very comfortable and has a really nice outdoor area to have a drink/eat/etc. We stayed two nights and wished we could’ve stayed longer!

The apartment was perfect, just what we needed for our trip! We loved the terrace with all the lovely plants and (because it was so nice and quiet and secluded) we had breakfast out there both days, which was lovely!

Nothing everything was perfect!
The apartment was excellent, very clean, very well presented and decorated, we had an excellent service from the apartment owner. The location is excellent for Saint Tropez, highly recommended, will definitely book again for our next stay in Saint Tropez. And the free parking was a must. Thank you, we hope to see you again soon.

Check-in/ check-out would have been more convenient if it were via a lock box, instead of having to coordinate times with the host. That being said, it was easy to coordinate and the host was accommodating. As other reviewers mentioned, it is required to put down a security deposit in cash.
The house has an ideal location within walking distance to St. Tropez center, a grocery store, and the beach. The highlight of the home is the terrace, which is perfect for finishing up a day's work with a glass of wine. I was able to park my car in a dedicated underground spot, although the ceiling of the garage is too low for bigger cars. The property is very charming and even better than depicted in the photos. I would definitely book here again if I am in St. Tropez.

The host was quite rude upon us docking in St Tropez as we arrived later than the original time. Receiving French messages and having to translate them wasn't ideal either. As the other reviews suggest a 400euro cash deposit was required which then means you need to spend time changing this back to £ when back in England. I'm not sure why a key safe isn't used, as everything has gone through booking.com a deposit should be required
Secure gated premise within an apartment block. Nice terrace area from both the lounge and bedroom which was well furnished but also very private. A 10 minute walk from the St Tropez Port and a well stock Supermarket just a 2 min walk from this apartment

It’s an amazing stay! The place is spotless clean, stylish, well-decorated and very well equipped, it has air-conditioner, washing machine, drying machine, hair-dryer, two big TVs and two very nice gardens. The location is great too, we enjoyed our stay here a lot and would recommend to all travellers coming to Saint Tropez!

The owner requires a €400 CASH deposit on arrival for any damages to the property! That is an exorbitant amount of cash to give to another person, simply on good faith.

Nothing really. I will put this here, but this is not really a bad thing: I didn't understand that I have to reach the owner directly over the phone to set an appointment. So we had to wait for half an hour, and he had to rush to meet us to give us the keys. Overall, the landlord was really accomodating.
Close to downtown appartement with a nice terrasse and nice furniture with a private parking. Nice furniture and nice landlord. I wish we could have stay longer.

Check in was complicated. The person who did the check in, remotely only spoke French. The main bedroom was small and the air conditioning not very efficient. No dishwasher in the apartment.

ants in bathroom, unfortunately no hand soaps so I went and bought and refilled. unfortunately the pricing was very high for the amenities with no pool. the lights in hallway would turn off when walking which was a little creepy and got annoyed bc people were smoking cigarettes right in front of door. I understand it’s France.
loved the proximity to town. the host was amazing and even called because I left behind some items. loved having a laundry.
