Hmmm... having to leave!

This is a beautiful house and, although there were other guests, it felt like we had it all to ourselves. Our ensuit bedroom was upstairs but we'd the use of living room and garden area. Breakfast is served in the main hotel down the garden path, past the goats and horses, in a truly gorgeous setting. Food was delicious with many choices of cheese, meat, eggs, breads and sauces/jams. Staff were very helpful and courteous. All in all a fabulous place to stay and priced below what I would have expected to pay for this accommodation.

A well well equipped kitchen, and thoughtfully presented and designed gite, just a year old in renovating an old building. V comfy beds, perfect for a few nights. Small pool but great for throwing a kid in!

The old historical buildings, the fact that I could put my bicycle in a garage, the swimming pool and the jacuzzi, specially after a long bicycle ride.

Nothing that can be changed but location is by the road and there is nowhere to go walking. A car is necessary to go to the centre of cancale. Neverthless, it is a convenient stop between Saint Malo and Saint Michel.

Great apartment, very confortable, beautifuly decorated and with everything needed in the kitchen. The property is great with animals and a lot of space. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

We were based in the part of the hotel near the road which was quiet noisy late at night and early morning. An awkwardly placed orange light facing the property shone directly into the room at night might keep others awake (luckily we had eye masks!)

Beautiful property set in stunning grounds. The bed was very comfortable and we found a fan to keep us cool during a couple of very hot nights! The swimming pool and sauna are brilliant, as too are the cocktails and wine selection. Super helpful and friendly staff.

I should have the room on 1st floor as per reservation due to my 7 months pregnancy. Unfortunately the hotel called me the day before that my room will be on the 2nd floor as other guest (elderly person) need it but did not mention it during their reservation. Although I am a little bit dissappointed, I appreciated the hotel's communication.

Room was on the small size and very hot as sun was streaming through 2 windows (closing shutters during day would of helped) As room was hot this caused difficulty sleeping Worst of all the room was on front of hotel with traffic running past evening very noisy motorbikes from 5 am onwards

Firstly, it took me a long time to find the entry. The accommodation is about 100m from reception/pool/restaurant. The signage needs to be better and clearer explanation that the grounds are shared by two accommodation providers and Le Chatellier is 100m from reception. My bathroom door did not close.

It was lovely having access to the pool and the option of breakfast in the restaurant. The shower was fine. It was so nice swimming in the pool in the warm evening.

The area is not great, you need a car to get anywhere and there are NO taxis in Concale at all which makes it tricky to go to the town for a stroll or dinner unless you want to drive. The location of the hotel is a bit strange, along a road and there is nothing to see or do nearby. The hotel is split in two buildings so if you get the one by the road you have a short walk to the pool and breakfast.

The annexe and room / just poor

The hotel is an annexe to a very pleasant hotel. The sight is misleading as our room was up two flight of very steep stairs. It was hot and thd toad noise unpleasant. Breakfast not included in price . When you add the cost of breakfast and take into account the visual misrepresentation it is poor value for money.

The room was very small, but okay comfort wise. The hotel is very much the annexe for the Manoir des Douets Fleuris hotel which is in the same grounds. The Chatelier itself feels like the overflow rooms for the main hotel and all the facilities including the breakfast room are in the Manoir. There are no staff in Le Chatelier, even for checking in, all felt a bit disappointing. Not the cosy b&b we were expecting!
