Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms in a charming location

Breakfast was a bit of a let-down (relatively speaking). Everything was laid out buffet-style and there was quite a good choice but there was really no-one around to point out that they hadn't put out milk (for cereal and tea). There was also no kettle for making tea. (Being English we don't believe the 'hot water' in the coffee machine is hot enough to make good tea)

Lovely place to stay. Very nice spacious rooms with good bathroom. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. The village itself is pleasant and has a lovely park area with a lake and walks into the forest - perfect for dogs. Our dogs were very content. It's easy and free to park in the square opposite.

The smell of the old house No safe in the room Very steef steps We reserved a table in the restaurant of the hotel and when we came in the evening for dinner we were told that there is a big group of 40 people so we would dine in the side rooom-office which was turned into a kind of small dining room. We left to another restaurant ad had an excellent meal with an attentive waitress

The location is convenient but there is a-gap between the description on site and the reality

One of our kids took the key from the cupboard home, since it looked like a magic key. We emailed same day when we got home when we found it and send it by post back to the hotel. Never received a response on either the email or the post with a small letter. Not that bad but also not nice.

We arrived early and they gave us access to the room. The diner at the restaurant was nice and if you like running or walking the area is verry nice. Less if you have 2 little kids (2y and 4y). Lucky that there was a small playing area close to the hotel. The staff spoke English which is nice since our French is poor.

Rooms are old and that makes modern features difficult e.g. my room had aircon, but the unit was so low it was below bed level. Luckily I just kept the windows open and the room was cool enough.

Excellent staff. Super helpful with all my queries. Allowed me to store my heavy bike bag downstairs and deliver it in advance of my check-in.

We expected a cozy English style inn with that name...but once over our disappointment, all went well :)

The blinds were difficult to stay open and it was a bit windy but apart from that everything went well. A little pricey considering the location but in line with refined countryside hotels prices.

The curtains were difficult to close and open, and were too thin to block out the early morning sun. It would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom.

Location was good. Immediately opposite a spacious car park. The hotel is on a road junction but the traffic was light. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom was adequate.

Beautiful location. Our room was large, comfortable and clean. It looked like it had been refurbished recently. The owners and staff were very friendly and spoke English which I'm slightly embarrassed to say was a bonus. Food was excellent and the whole package was excellent value for money.

La Fauconnerie du Roi is a wonderful place to stay for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful and quiet rural area, within easy driving distance of Paris. The hosts were very gracious and helpful. The homemade breakfasts were a real treat, we highly recommend this place. A bonus was the wonderful village restaurant just outside the gates of the Gite.
