How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Great property, ideal location. Safe place. Nice clean and comfy rooms. Delicious dinner served. Thumbs up to Carole and Nicolas who made us feel at home away from home. Very easy communication during the reservation. Warm welcome at our arrival. A place to recommend and where we will definitely return in the future.

Really nothing at all
The Hosts are super friendly, welcoming and helpful. The property is spacious - lovely large room; immaculately clean with all the essentials needed including fridge, kettle and AC. It’s quiet and in a calm quiet location perfect for visiting Arles, Nimes, Montpellier and the Camargues etc Parking is safe and secure in a gated area.

We were made to feel so welcome, and the hotel is a lovely, quiet oasis on our way to Nîmes. We’d love to return. Highly recommend!

Nothing to dislike
Great overnight stop on our cycling tour, easy to find, once through the entrance is a little oasis with individual rooms with outdoor seating. Very friendly hosts, great meal in the evening, would recommend and definitely stay here again if in the area

Hidden gem in the center of Uchaud with very friendly hosts. Silent and clean. Typical french breakfast and in the evening a delicious fresh cooked three-course menu. Enough parking places.

Carole, the owner (or one of the owners?) was superb. Service at top level and always with a smile! We had a portable fridge that needed 240 V and we placed in one of their rooms during the night. Breakfast was very good. Another great thing for travelers with a car, is that you enter a private courtyard where your car is 100% secure! Definitely to recommend to all travelers!!

Lovely modern bedrooms, with their individual entrance, facing the garden. Large walk-in shower, fridge to store your cold drinks, excellent air conditioning. Dog friendly. Lovely and caring staff, keen to please and helpful. It’s the second time we’ve stayed there and we will come again!

Amazingly surprised when we arrived in this hidden paradise. Driving through the small village to this location you would not expect this place. In addition to the beautiful location, we were received by a sweet and very friendly owner. A cozy room with a perfect bed and well-functioning air conditioning. Dinner was prepared by her husband which was a perfect meal. All in all a good place to stay whether it be for your trip to Spain (or back home) or to stay for a few days. We just stayed for 1 night, from that perspective it was all good!

Nothing, it was all great.
Beautiful location and the welcome from the owners was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. Really comfy rooms. Dinner was delicious.

The rooms were very basic, classed as superior but definitely not. Bedding poor quality, 50% polyester crinkly sheets (so hot in summer) with rubber waterproof under sheet. Only One small bottle of water and one teabag per room. No milk. Towels were frayed and old. Altogether very scruffy.

Wildly overpriced. This was budget accommodation priced as if it was superior. One teabag in bedroom for two of us and we were charged for tea when asked. If this was a superior room then heaven help anyone in a standard room!
