We liked everything about the property! Just a word of caution that there is not an elevator so you will need to carry your bags up the stairs.

The property is a large, old house that has been renovated beautifully. Our room was large with a king-sized bed, a twin bed and a sitting area - it was comfortable and nicely decorated. The public spaces were all beautifully appointed. Our room had a balcony and windows overlooking the Loire River. At night it was very nice to open the windows and hear the river rushing by - very peaceful! James and his wife Celine are delightful hosts, making sure that our stay was lovely. Each night we enjoyed a cocktail in their bar area and enjoyed talking with some of the other guests as well as with James. On 2 evenings, their chef came in to prepare a 5-star, 3-4 course meal. This was a special treat as the dining room is lovely, it was like eating in a very upscale restaurant with excellent food and service. In the mornings, we enjoyed fresh fruit, homemade yogurt, breads and cheeses. The location is perfect for exploring the Loire Valley. We toured a couple of the major chateaus within driving range of this property. Additionally, we were able to walk into the small village of Montlouis Sur Loire to enjoy a local restaurant and walk around the picturesque town. We are already planning to return!

The hosts were welcoming and gracious.... just the right amount of attentiveness. Even though there are only 5 rooms Clos du Roc feels more like a hotel than a B&B... spacious and quiet. Our room overlooked the Loire River and it was nice to listen to the river at night. The continental breakfast was perfect and the bonus of having a delicious dinner served twice was great.

The location is spot on when you want to visit the chateaux and the wineries. The beautiful building and garden.The warm welcome of the hosts! ( and the dog!)The comfortable room ( although we got the last one which was much smaller than the others).the exquisite cuisine and beautiful wines. And last but not least a super charger for your electric car!

Nothing - everything was brilliant.

Wonderful stay at Clos du Roc - it's so beautiful and picturesque. The breakfasts each morning were exceptional and so was the dinner we had there one night. The owners are very attentive and friendly, and they made our time there very comfortable. It was great to be able to rent bikes to cycle to Vouvray one day. We will be back!

This is a lovely property I wish I stayed longer and used it as a base to explore more of the Loire Valley.

Right from the warm welcome from Celine and James this was a perfect few days. The property is old and recently renovated with a wonderful mix of very comfortable decor. Their attention to detail appears casual but always quality. The French breakfast of delicious local produce is enjoyed in a lovely dining room. The gardens are delightful and a perfect haven to enjoy. The location is excellent on the banks of Loire River and the edge of Montloius. An easy train ride from Charles De Gaul brings you to a beautiful spot in the Loire Valley. The bird life is a bonus.

Maybe a cooked breakfast

We were on the final leg of a long journey from our home in Spain to the UK for Christmas and we had chosen this hotel for its location and tranquil look. It was fantastic. James and Celine were the best hosts and the whole experience was just what we needed. We left the following morning refreshed for the remaining journey. THOROUGHLY RECOMMENDED

What was not to like! - Beautiful big elegant bedroom with french doors and terrace looking out on the Loire River. Breakfast was delicious, with local and homemade delights. Great location and very friendly and helpful hosts. Celine and James have done a fabulous renovation of this historic building to make a home and B&B we really didn’t want to leave!!! Would highly recommend to all.
