Nothing really stairs bit tough for me. Old house and newly exacerbated leg prob. We were offered room in first floor as soon as I mentioned next morning. Made me feel so comfortable. Had to move back to top last night as all that was available, that was fine. Just be aware few tricky beams in top room if issues like mine. Second night there much easier, also bonus of balcony. Owners had made v clear in the notes for the property. Parking is v easy to find, so don't panic 😂

Beautiful old property. Well loved. Felt like the owners had invited you to stay at theirs . Absolutely perfectly situated. Breakfast was hosted, very nice pastries, cheese,coffee and cheese. Fresh orange juice too. Place was so interesting with great hosts.

Excellent location, very nice large bedroom with en-suite bathroom and plenty of drawers and cupboards, very good breakfast, friendly and very helpful hosts with excellent local knowledge of what to do and see.

Continental , fruit and fresh bread etc, . Alain the host was fabulous, we loved the muted classical music in the background, the cottage is 16th century and full of antiques, absolutely outstanding. If you’re looking for French classique’ this is it ! The location could not be more perfect. Airport is only 15 minutes and Alain ordered our taxi back for 15 euro. Couldn’t fault anything .

Beware that parking may be difficult to find near the building; we were a couple of blocks away. We understand that they will cover the parking cost for you, but it really isn't expensive in the pay machines. Saturday and Sunday parking is free.

Le Columbier is an amazing place to stay in Bergerac. This B&B is the only set of rooms available in the middle of the old town. We stayed in the Roxane room, one of the two rooms in number 17, a most romantic setup with no real view out the window, but a room full of French antiques and wonderful furnishings. Indeed the entire B&B is 500 years old; the timber holding it up is exquisite and visible. One wants to know who the ghosts of centuries past were who inhabited these rooms. The owners are lovely people who go to great lengths to make your stay comfortable, informative, and delightful. Breakfast was very good, very French; walk outside and you are immediately in the old town square with lovely 16th century buildings, restaurant and port. Old town Bergerac is not large and a couple of days is all one needs to get the feel. It is full of tourists, but they all disappear in the late evening and don’t come out until about 10 AM. It is all very quiet through the night.

There is nothing to dislike about the accommodation and Bergerac is well worth a visit.

The accommodation is totally unique and beautiful and in a perfect spot right in the centre of Bergerac, just a few steps from the Dordogne and lots of cafés and restaurants. Alan is a helpful host and very friendly.

Amazing historic charm with exposed wooden beams & pretty terrace off the bedroom. The owners were very friendly & helpful with booking restaurants & transportation. The breakfast was great— coffee, bread & pastry, cheese, yogurt, delicious jams all excellent.
