How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The location is not too far from the motorway which was ideal for our requirements. We received a friendly welcome from Carole which after a very long drive was much needed, she explained everything very clearly to us and offered to help in many different ways. I will gladly stay here again when we are on our travels.

Located in a quiet peaceful community close to main travel route. Our host was very attentive and helpful, and did everything to make our stay as good as it could be. If you are looking for a peaceful comfortable B & B, then we highly recommend this place.

The hostess was very pleasant and helpful, made up the (very comfortable) sofa bed for me although we hadn't asked for this on booking. Lovely quiet spot with safe parking for a car. Well equipped. Excellent breakfast. Would recommend absolutely, lovely stay.

I liked everything
Last minute booking, was met by Carole, the most helpful hostess, the room was beautiful, clean, spacious and very pretty, she offered to book an evening meal in the local village for us, which was also very good, would highly recommend this little hidden gem 10/10 jane from London

Everything was great. The Appartement had everything you could need. Very quiet aircondition unit. The breakfast was also exceptional. In case of questions the host can be reached directly, as she lives next door.

No problems
Large room, with big windows in modern extension attached to a larger house. Host provided useful and nice amenities in the room and in the patio lounge. Breakfast was good. Parking was private, in the garden area. Wifi was fine.

Nothing, everything was great.
Room was excellent, stayed in the suite, it had everything you would need and was exceptionally clean. Carole was very attentive and could not have been more friendly or welcoming. The breakfast choice and quality was superb. Carole even booked us a table at a restaurant in the town at a traditional bistro, couldn’t fault it at all.

A minor point but the pillows on the bed were a little too soft for my liking. 4 pillows were provide which was great, perhaps two soft and two firm could be provided.
The location was very good for our journey. The property was quiet, clean and comfortable and the brekfast provided by Carole, the host, was lovely. Carole was friendly and very helpful, even recommending and booking a retaraunt for us.

Not much really!
A rural B&B that would seem to have been created for the purpose and as part of the property upgrade. They have two ensuite rooms to the rear of the property that offer different experiences. The lady host was very attentive and helpful and she did speak English. She also made a reservation at one of her recommended restaurants for dinner, which was also good. Breakfast was served in the room and there were a number of choices on offer. Overall a very good experience. Parking is available onsight.

After a long drive I arrived to a warm greeting from Carole. The room was a studio attached to the main house with its own outside space, which must be great in warmer weather. The space was attractive, modern and immaculate. Carole provided a lovely breakfast -- with many items to choose from -- and I set off for the next leg of my journey. Not only did she see me off, she sent a note hoping the drive went well.

Lovely light room. Bathroom 10/10. Spotlessly clean. Attention to detail. Comfy bed. Quiet. Both got a great night's sleep. Used both the fridge and microwave in the room. Breakfast, good choice of food, served in the room. Friendly and attentive host. Wish we could have stayed longer looked a lovely area.

Nothing at all.The location and ambience were excellent.The stay could not have been improved in our opinion.
The breakfast was pre ordered from a selection offered the previous night by the hostess.It arrived promptly at the selected time.The produce was excellent in taste and quality and largely locally produced I believe.
