There was a little noise from other rooms at times, but not too disturbing.

We had a Cosy double room which was small but perfectly adequate for a one night stay. The bathroom was a reasonable size, although the sink was impractical. The room and bathroom were very clean. During the evening there was quite a bit of noise from the traffic etc. outside, but it was surprisingly quiet overnight. The staff were very helpful. Overall a good hotel at a reasonable price.

Comfortable bed. Nice bathroom. Good black out curtains. Real Paris neighborhood near an excellent vegan boulangerie Land & Monkeys Pernety and a 15 minute walk to Gare Montparnasse. Friendly front desk staff who even printed a document for me I needed to sign and send back to the the US.

Nice and cleam room, simple but very good breakfast. The staff was really helpfull and friendly. The AC wasn't working in the first night, but the night receptionist was really helpfull and borrowed me a fan, which was great. Then in the second day, when I arrived back in the hotel from a long day, the AC was working perfectly! The location is great, 5 min waking distance from the Pernety metro station. Thank you all!

The hotel has poor TV service in that there are no English speaking channels or programs which made the evenings a bit challenging in how to pass the time. Also the breakfast could have had some variety. By the 4th day I got tired of having such limited selection.

Pierre, who works the reception, exceeded my expectation. He was cordial, accommodating, informative and extremely helpful in answering all my questions.

We loved everything.

The hotel really exceeded our expectations. Spacious, very clean rooms, impeccable service provided by the staff, perfect value for money, good location in a quiet area close to the center of the city, and many other features made our stay at Al Anvar absolutely unforgettable. Extremely delicious breakfasts deserve a special mention. Have been travelling throughout the world for 50+ years, and must say that these are the best breakfasts I ever tried. Ulmas, the chef, is truly a magician when it comes to cooking. Very diverse and tasty dishes luckily combine national traditions with high international standards. Would advise not to be late when coming to the restaurant in the morning, if you want to enjoy your breakfast to the fullest. Will definitely come back again.

The hotel is well situated near Montparnasse station. We chose it as we were taking the TGV the following day. It took us about 15 minutes to walk leisurely with our suitcases to the train station. The room and shower in the hotel were small. But these are European standards if you want a budget hotel. We were OK with it. The breakfast buffet was exceptionally well organized with many different breakfast items to choose from. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Since it was such a beautiful afternoon we walked about an hour past L’hotel des Invalides to the Eiffel tower.

I picked this hotel mainly because of the sauna and it didn't disappoint. You get to use it on your own, it's open 24/7 and very clean. Friendly staff, the room (average size) was clean and had all the amenities you needed and free hot drinks! Hotel is also only 5min walk to the metro.

The location was great. Safe and quiet but close to lots of facilities including the metro. Good food and drink options. The room was small, basic but caravan and comfy. The bed was fabulously comfortable. Much needed after busy days. The shower was great too. Hot and powerful.

No window and the room is not well ventilated. The room on the ground floor is next to the elevator and breakfast space, therefore a bit noisy. One bath towel has some brown stain.

The window in my room didn't close properly so was a bit cold. The noise on the road is a bit loud at night, but I had ear plugs with me so it wasn't too bad. Only had a coffee machine in the room, it would be better to have a kettle with tea/decaf options and (non dairy) milk, but they brought me a kettle so that's okay. The bedside lights were very bright white light which wasn't relaxing/easy on the eye at night - would recommend they change the bulbs for a warmer light.

I spent a couple of nights here for a work trip: the staff was friendly and helpful, the location quite strategic to reach the city centre in about 20 min by underground. Room size was surprising considering the average in Paris!
