If I was really picky, in hotels this nice, the showers are normally bigger, but this shower was just normal size. I wouldn't change anything!

Lovely hotel in a good position. The owner made us welcome and gave us loads of information to make sure we were able to make the most of the town and our trips. The restaurant we were recomended was amazing! The area is short of space, but the smallish room had plenty of room. There was a garage to store our bikes for a small fee. The breakfast was great. Friendly, relaxed and lovely. I hope it's not too long before I can go back.

The owner could not have been more delightful. He was very helpful and welcoming, offering us each something to drink as soon as we arrived, and spent time telling us about Saint Malo and recommended restaurants and things to do. The room was immaculate and clean, and the beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable. The owner's attention to detail was particularly noticeable. Lively breakfast! The hotel is in a great location. I would not hesitate to recommend this wonderful little gem of a hotel and look forward to returning. Tremendous value, too!

We were greeted by our hosts, Edward & Aurelie, and couldn't have had a warmer welcome. They really made us feel at home, and went above and beyond to help us plan our weekend around Saint Malo, with many insider recommendations ! We slept incredibly well in the super-comfy huge bed. We've stay here again in a heartbeat.

Very charming hotel perfectly located in the old city of St Malo. It has a lift, which is convenient. Nice quality breakfast, very warm welcome and very responsive manager. We loved our stay!

Nothing to dislike.

The owner was very helpful and informative, (negociating St Malo streets is not easy). Breakfast was a feast after a quiet night in a reasonably sized room. Public parking was available 100 metres away. Location was close to the Intramuros bars and restaurants. A lift was welcome.

Location - right in the best bit of the old town, staff - Edward in particular saw it as his mission to ensure that we enjoyed ourselves, ate the greatest food and visited the best sights. The ability to park our car at the hotel was a welcome bonus.

Very comfortable room within the old town. Bed was large and comfortable, facilities, small, but more than adequate and spotlessly clean. Room has been recently renovated and has a lift, always a bonus. Lovely welcome by the reception, we were given a map and information about the town, things to do, places to eat. Would definitely stay again if in St Malo. Parking was a bit tricky to find on Sunday afternoon, but easy any other time.

Our host, Edward, was very welcoming. He gave us an overview of what to see and do, as well as excellent recommendations for restaurants. His love for St Malo was quite apparent. The room was clean and bigger than expected. The shower was the best we've had on our trip. Breakfast was great -- fresh bread and pastries with the best butter and yogurt! All local. Served by our host, not a buffet.

I don't think there was anything to dislike. The rooms are small so someone with mobility issues would find access after 8pm a bit tricky, (I'm sure the owners would be able to solve this) and moving about in the room and bathroom awkward but this is because of the nature of old properties in the centre of the town and not the fault of the owners. I think that this is pointed out on the hotel website.

Our one night stay last year was so good that we returned for three nights this year because we knew we would be warmly welcomed , well looked after and be very comfortable. Aurelie and Edward are always ready to provide information re restaurants, parking, the town and what to visit. They really know the area. Breakfasts are excellent, the beds comfortable and I loved the luxurious towels!

Nothing not to like. It really is a little gem.

Beautiful little hotel situated ideally within the oldest part of the St Malo city walls. Spotlessly clean and superb hosts. Deserves more than 2 stars, so do not be put off by this!
