Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The hotel is dreamy. The location is perfect. On the Place des Voges but set back with a quiet beautiful courtyard before entering. The decor is cozy and warm. Staff was wonderful. It’s not big but that’s much of its charm and intimacy.

United StatesNot a great lobby. No bar to sit at. Small and cramped. The front patio at the entrance of the hotel was quite sad looking. It was just a bunch of stacked chairs and other furniture. It looked unorganized and unwelcoming. The season shouldn’t matter. It was winter but if a hotel is open for business it should look as well maintained as possible.
The room was beautiful. Nice bathroom and very clean. Great minibar, too!

IrelandThe accommodation assistant on Wednesday morning 21st February was quite rude. I had declined a cleaning service on the other mornings by putting a dnd (do not disturb) on the door but wanted it on that day Wednesday and she was quite disgruntled. Mumbling and unpleasant. I was leaving the room to go to the hamman and she was not a bit friendly or polite, pretty much telling me to hurry up and leave. Also there are some renovations on the floor above me and the drilling and tapping in the morning was annoying. A heads up at check-in would have been nice. All the other staff were pleasant. Especially the restaurant supervisor on the morning of my checkout, she was very nice and offered me a cup of coffee while I waited for my driver.
The location. I was upgraded upon arrival which was great. The staff are friendly and courteous and extremely helpful. The amenities that were left in my room, a very nice touch. The Hamman is a great facility to have and the gym is well equipped and quiet.

I loved the cozy vibe of it and how all the staff just made you feel so comfortable. They went above and beyond with surprising me with birthday treats of champagne and yummy macarons when I entered my room! They even let me check in early, which I appreciated so much since my flight came in early! It was also easy to walk around the area and just explore Le Marais! I loved everything about it!!!

Fantastic hotel. Good location with some really nice shopping and restaurants in the streets around it. Staff were super, super helpful and nice. The concierge in particular was excellent and recommended (and got tables at short notice at) some really good restaurants all over town, saving us from the tourist traps. He also saved our evening on my wife's birthday when we had a problem with a restaurant (that we had booked) and found us a table somewhere amazing on about 30 mins notice.

We had a magical stay at Le Pavillon de la Reine. The hotel is so beautiful outside and in the lobby! Hotel staff were very helpful and polite. The location is perfect, walking distance to charming streets of the Marais and famous sights. All the bathroom amenities were good quality and useful.
