How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Outstanding staff, wonderfully welcoming and helpful about parking (which can be reserved on site) , managing luggage and recommending a fantastic local wine bar. Everything you could want, you had provided. Exceptional breakfast with grandmother's home preserves. Decor chic, authentic and very comfortable. Will definitely be returning.

We had a great stay. The room was comfortable and had a balcony offering a fantastic view. The neighborhood was beautiful and cozy, providing a great setting for walks and exploring the local area. Victor was incredibly friendly and helpful, always available to offer advice and ensure a pleasant stay.

Nothing. If you are on the top floors just be aware that there is no lift and a (beautiful) spiral staircase.
Fabulous location, beautifully designed and curated. Staff were really super friendly and really went out of their way to make sure we made the most of Trouville. One of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Thanks to Victor and Mary (and Victor’s grandmother’s jam-making skills)! Very good value.

This hotel is situated perfectly to enjoy Trouville. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom had a bathtub, which is a great bonus. The paid parking was secure and easy to access. Victor the owner/host was excellent, he is very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Nothing bad at all.
Very pleasant athmosphere, good location, calm but quiet, breakfast excellent. Le patron very helpful with a homely feeling of the place, nicely but not kitschly decorated. The place is simply a pearl in this charming village, and can be highly recommended.

This beautiful quaint hotel is perfectly situated. 15min walk from the train station, 2min walk to the beach, 2min walk to all the restaurants and shops. Victor was so welcoming and helpful, always had a moment to spare and help us have a better stay in Trouville. Their breakfast is also quite nice with a good selection, their pain au chocolat and croissants were delicious. Their breakfast room and lounge were cute and gave a cozy feel to it. I travelled solo, they had a perfect single room with toilet and shower in the room. The view was onto the beautiful Normandy architecture and the bed was super comfy. The hotel was safe and secure. It was the perfect beach getaway! I would highly recommend staying at this hotel, Victor is a wonderful host. He spoke great English (and French of course). He made me feel so welcomed and did his best so I could enjoy Trouville to the fullest. I will definitely be returning to this hotel! Until next time!

The shower was fairly small and I would've liked a few more breakfast options like eggs and bacon or sausage.
The breakfast was good- for an extra 10 euros (I believe) Victor would take your order as to what you wanted from the bakery, then he offered fruit, yogurt, and coffee as well. Victor, the host, was very hospitable and genuine.

I came during a peak season weekend and prices had skyrocketed, so it was very poor value for money. A safe to store items would have been nice.
The hotel is incredibly well located in Trouville close to all the shops and casino. Victor, the host, is extremely friendly and helpful. The room was small but perfectly fine for a single person.
