Totally recommended. This lovely apartment was a very pleasant surprise. Clean, quiet, with private parking, 5 minutes walk to the town center. The studio itself was just lovely and perfect for our stay. The kitchen is very well equipped. Will definitely came back if travelling to Maçon again.

Complicated and confusing mail communications regarding the booking prior to arrival. Rather impersonal and cold on first arrival. Bedding quilt inadequate for the recently colder weather.

Clean and functional with all necessary equipment and utensils. Good parking and internet. Very good restaurant close by. Easy walking distance to centre of town.

We stopped there for a night while driving back to Paris from Italy. it was prefect for the occasion, comfortable, clean, pretty and extremely easy to access with various codes and directions sent via booking app (we didn’t interact with anyone for check in or check out), and with a private and secured parking area (so we didn’t need to unload all of our luggage).

3 different door codes, the last of which is 10 characters long, and includes a picture of a pad lock at the end which you have to use. Some confusion over having to send ID photos before being allowed access. Person on the end of the phone who we contacted over this issue using the number on Booking.com was useless - just told us to contact Booking.com???

Nice little apartment, beautifully decorated and well equipped with everything we needed. Large Aldi 2 or 3 minutes walk away, great for self catering. Good for walks along the river. Car park was very useful.

This was a spacious apartment for 2 people, with a small,comfortable sleeping area adjoining a large, modern bathroom, and a larger living/eating/cooking area, all very well designed and furnished, with 3 large windows. The elegant 19th century architecture of the house, set in a small garden and courtyard, which certainly were much bigger when originally built, belies the modernity of the inside of the apartments into which it has been divided. Everything was in perfect condition, spotlessly clean. We did not use the kitchen equipment but there was plenty of it, well organised in closets below the counter and above the appliances . The location is very central, close to the banks of the River Saône,and a pleasant short walk to the old centre of Mâcon. There are several restaurants, cafés, bakeries, a natural food store all within a short walking distance. Parking was conveniently possible in the gated courtyard. We would like to come back here whenever we return to Mâcon.

I tried to contact the owner/manager by phone and mail : no answer at all. Pay attention, first images before renting let you think you will have one separated bedroom and this is not always the case. I thought I would have a separated bedroom and that was not the case, I am disappointed about this.

I did inform the management in writing that there were some spiders to be found. Not a real issue because we all have this issue in our homes as well. The management replied immediately that they were taking action with the cleaning ladies. Not a real negative to me but worth mentioning. The pedestrian entrance gate seemed broken for the time of our stay which might reduce the safety on the parking lot. Mgmt is taking action to get it repaired.

We received full detailed explanations a day before our arrival. Details with photographs on how to proceed to open the gate for the car entrance and how to access the building and the apartment. May sound complicated at first sight but when being there it all seems quite normal and easy. The private closed parking space is a great advantage and welcomed. This allowed us to leave some luggage in the car for the overnight stay and only take with us the needed clothing for the evening.

Though I have prepaid I have not received any information of the entry. Having nobody to help I was standing in front of the door for an hour trying to contact. Given telephone number did not work. If not for a young lady next door to the hotel who tried telephone and SMS he finally got throughout to someone who sent her the code. It took one hour and it should not have been necessary if the booking process has been properly taken. Terrible start of the stay.
