Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomViews are not particularly great. Charges of 20€ daily parking which I was not aware of. Parking limited if you going height of summer may have difficulty. Not sure why they do not provide the bill online to your room given all the technology that has been put in place. Service in between gourmet courses was a little too quick. Need to slow that down. I would suggest a short tour of the Hotel for guests when they arrive or at least offer it.
Great facilities , within easy reach of Nice. Swimming pools are heated. Would definitely go back if we were visiting same region. The gourmet restaurant accommodated for vegiterian diet.Very kindly upgraded our room which is always a nice surprise.

FranceEverything was exceptional. Their high quality services exceeded our expectations. Free access to facilities like the spa, the outside pools and lagoon or the staff members attention made our stay magical. The room was impeccable, special mention to the evening cleaning room service. Moreover, breakfast is various and tasty. The whole property is so beautiful, we fell in love with it then we ended up adding one more night to our stay in order to visit Saint-Paul de Vence village. It was a must !

United KingdomWe thought that breakfast was a bit too expensive considering it added up 50% on top of the room tariff.
This hotel is an exceptional property, a true gem hidden in the Provençal gardens, stylish, luxurious, chic and simply beautiful. the location is stunning with views across Vence valley

DenmarkThe food did not live up to our expectations. Neither the breakfast nor the Christmas buffet. There was a lot of different food - but maybe the place does not use the best chefs?

FranceOur room was on the groundfloor and we heard the neighbours above us very well, was really bothering us at certain times. The dining room was not comfortably heated. The prices of the local (= provence) wines are far exagerated.
Superb place with stunning garden, 4 pools, great wellness and very professional & friendly staff.

United KingdomThis hotel is absolutely stunning, a true 5*. Amazing spa facilities and also several outdoor pools, some heated. Beautiful grounds and gardens, clean and well kept. Room was amazing, we had the prestige deluxe room and it was probably the cleanest, comfortable, most well appointed room we’ve ever stayed in. Staff superb, very helpful and attentive. Lovely breakfast selection. Preferred the food in the bistro compared to the main restaurant but that was a personal preference and both were brilliant quality. Free shuttle bus to Saint Paul de Vence very handy, although you can walk and we managed to find a route that wasn’t on the road the whole way which felt safer but was up hill for a lot of the way, but only took about 20-30mins. Great location for exploring South of France. We are going to book again for next year. Would highly recommend.

United KingdomPerhaps I didn’t investigate it closely enough, but there was only one option that I saw for breakfast, which was a buffet for €36. Most days I only need a croissant and a cup of tea, so it would have been good to have lighter options.
Amazing facilities, some of it is brand new, built during covid. Very comfortable and the staff are very attentive. It’s a bit of a paradise on earth.

Romania16 euros a glass of rose? Common! The bistro Lis Orto serves “push-the-tray” canteen level food. No connection with good french cuisine. Cheap plastic bowl for ile flotant, food is made a day before ( at the closest); the nicoise was a disaster with old leaves of lettuce. My advice: get a good student in gastronomy that has the proper attitude, make 5 dishes at the most (two starters, two main-one fish, one meat, one dessert )but master them to perfection, get only the freshest possible produce from a very reliable source, change the menu every day. C’est domage because everything else is great.
It is paradise here. Amazing good value for money. Excellent Table de Pierre with creative dishes. Great pools, excellent spa. Amazing design. Reopened in May, after enlargment of the property and addition of many great ameneties.

LatviaAbsolutely everything was impeccable!
I often read these reviews where people praise everything about a hotel and wonder why in 20 years of traveling it didn't happen to me. Well, now I can say that it did! This was by far my greatest stay in South of France, a place I can call my second home, after 15 years of constant visits. The amenities such as SPA, the Lagoon pool/beach, the Playfield with archery, soccer, badminton, volleyball and table tennis where all in state-of-the-art condition. Absolutely any place in hospitality industry is defined by personal so I want to express my gratitude to Pascal, Benjamin and special regards to head consierge Emmanuel for making this truly and unforgettable vacation. I will suggest this place to all of my friends and family, and will try to come back as soon as possible. 🙏🏼

United StatesBathroom and shower doors did not fully close. Very expensive during peak season. Location is far from nice beaches.
Room was lovely, with amazing natural light. Beautiful gardens with fun statues and art throughout. The spa is incredible - the indoor pool has all sorts of fun buttons to push for jets, countercurrents, etc. Loved the hamman area too! Saint Paul du Vence is a beautiful town.
