Beautiful house, nice garden and greenhouse, extremely friendly guest and welcome, rooms for kids very well equipped with toys, games and books. Excellent breakfast with homemade jam and yogurts :-)

My Sat Nav threw a bit of a wobbler trying to find the house and it eventually found some very narrow streets to go down - but we got there!

Somewhere to park the car off road, the view from the room was excellent and decor in the room and hotel interior decor was elegant. The breakfast was very good and you feel its personal for you. The hotel is set in a lovely location with a large garden and pool.

It is a beautiful big old family house with spacious rooms and very well renovated and decorated. It was situated in a quiet street in the upper old part of the medieval town of Parthenay. Parthenay itself was an interesting authentic town, the old part of which has been barely touched since its foundation. It is off the tourist trail and so not a tourist trap which was wonderful. Our host was friendly, helpful and charming. She provided us with a simple meal which we could heat up in the communal kitchen which suited us after a long journey from Rouen. I can recommend this guest house without any hesitation.

Absolutely stunning property. We couldn’t have been more pleased, it was everything you would expect of a period French property. Swimming pool and gardens where clean well cared for and stunning. Plenty of facilities for making coffee and an amazing area to relax.

There seemed to be nothing much to do in Parthenay except visit the ancient part of town. This may, of course, have been because it was a Monday and shops and quite a few restaurants were shut.

The old house was smartly renovated and the room was imaginatively decorated. The accommodation had thoughtful touches (e.g. a shared kitchen & sitting room). Breakfast was very good. The street was quiet.

The property is fabulous and located a short walk off the main shopping street in Parthenay. The host is very welcoming. Breakfast was excellent with tea, coffee, bread, home baked brioche, selection of jams, fruit and yoghurt. The weather was very hot so the air conditioning in the room at night was very welcome.

Fantastically helpful host, wonderful facilities, excellently decorated, furnished property with lovely rooms and facilities. Plenty of secure space to store and charge our bikes. We were made to feel comfortable straight away. The host phoned to make a restaurant reservation for us and offered local places to visit Of all the places I've stayed in over the years, I reckon this stands out as one of the very very best. I can enthusiastically recommend staying here for anyone visiting the area.

Absolutely stunning house with great facilities and friendly, welcoming hostess who was very patient as I attempted to converse in French! A really comfortable room with a huge shower room and comfortable bed. Great to have the use of a kitchen and lounge/diner. Breakfast was great, with lots of homemade items. We would definitely stay here again if we're in the area.
