UNHEALTHY CONDITIONS. This hotel should not even be open, it lacks basic standards of hygiene, does not follow any sanitary measures, staff behaviour is totally inappropriate and the amount of filth poses a health risk. 1.BUG PLAGUE: The walls were crawling with bugs, the bed was also full of insects, including the bed sheet, the bedspread and the pillows. There were bugs everywhere and they kept crawling out from under the furniture and curtains. The place had obviously not been cleaned, aired or fumigated for weeks. 2. SHEETS WITH BLOOD: When we removed the sheets due to bugs, we noticed blood stains on them - they had not even bothered to change them for clean ones. 3. THE RECEPTIONIST HALFDRESSED: When we decided to go to reception after observing the unhealthy conditions in which they wanted us to stay, we found that the receptionist who was supposed to attend to us only half dressed putting his trousers on. 4. NO SOLUTION: After waiting for the employee to get dressed, we tried to communicate with him in English and Spanish, which was impossible because he did not speak either language. Through the translator I told him what had happened and without even being slightly shocked he made a dismissive gesture indicating that there was no solution. After having insisted for a long time, the only thing we could get from him was a clean sheet, which we had to change ourselves, and a bottle of insecticide to fumigate the room with. Therefore we had to sleep in a room full of dead bugs, where it was hard to breath due to the insecticide, having only a sheet to use, and a space where being barefoot could end in having sifilis.

It was impossible to turn off the AC in our room, from which there was also water dropping. The receptionist did not know how to turn off the AC and the hotel manager could not come because it was a Sunday. The breakfast was of poor quality taking into account its cost. It is better to go for breakfast elsewhere.

The positive aspect is the location.

I was upgraded to the Hotel Marbella. It was a very nice room with a balcony and everything I needed.

The fan in the roof didnt reach down to the bed, it was like a dry sauna.

The location is superb, close to the water, the best beach and a lively street with lots of bars and rastaurants.

That same location will make sure you can’t shut an eye begore the hussle outside dies. in the morning (early) there’s the cleaning machines and delivery trucks. Too mich noise, no noise padding anywhere…

the room was too small for two people. the sink was also blocked. there was no air condition but there was a ceiling fan which was quite effective - however this meant that the window would be open and it was quite noisy overnight and early in the morning.

The safe for valuables in all 3 rooms failed to work at some point during our stay. Single room space quite restricted, particularly in bathroom shower area, leading to escape of water onto bathroom floor.

Location was excellent. Breakfast was served next door in Brit Hotel Marbella which was very satisfactory with a wide choice of options.

The room was small and dark. The carpet beside the tiny en-suite was wet and smelly. It was impossible to take a shower without drowning the whole bathroom as the shower cubicle was too small and the curtains too big. The safe deposit box did not work and the management were unable to fix it. They were unable to facilitate a change of room. A towel was put on the floor at the entrance to my en-suite and they suggested that I put my valuables in my friends safe deposit in another room.

The location beside Le Petit Plage a beautiful sandy cove was perfect. The hotel was close to the centre with lots of restaurants, bars and shops close by. The receptionist who greeted us on our arrival and checked us out was very helpful and friendly and did her best to help us with our difficulties. The breakfast buffet at the next door sister hotel was excellent.

I had no Wi-Fi connection, even tho it was mentioned. The staff was not able to solve the problem. Also, it was hard to communicate in English, I had to speak French.

Room was loud at night but we expected that based on location. It didn't detract, but fans in the room would help since we couldn't sleep with windows open.

Location was amazing. Close to all old town and beach. Staff was wonderful.

This place was pretty hard to find being on a policed pedestrian access road and sharing a street name with a location very close by. The room was very basic but fine. It wasn't like a former 3-4 star that was allowed to slide into decay with lack of maintenance.

I'm certain the manager gave me a better room than I had paid for. The family room I'm sure I had been given had a great view and a large balcony.
