Literally - there was nothing that could be improved upon. It was an enormous pleasure to stay there.

This was an outstanding place to stay, and the host could not have been more helpful. The apartment is beautifully decorated with thought given to each detail and amenity. Think luxury and you are there. The bed is wonderfully comfortable. The treats left for the guests are amazing. The shower is perfect. The fresh ground roasted coffee is awesome. The location is great for exploring Avignon. The car park arrangement was great.

If you are driving, note that there is no on-site parking near the apartment. Stephan will offer his own villa parking for your convenience, but it is a 5-10 mins ride in his car. That could well turn out to be a blessing in disguise, especially if you have a big sized car, coz the roads within the Avignon old city is very narrow.

Location of the apartment is right at the heart of Avignon. It is artistically decorated, and comes with many thoughtful fixtures and appliances. Stephan is a fantastic host. He is very knowledgeable and is keen to make our trip as enjoyable as possible. He readily provides suggestions and recommendations for restaurants and things to see. Spot on! He also provided Champagne, beer and other beverages, both alcohol and non-alchohol, free of charge. We were a little torn between chilling in the apartment vs heading out for the sights. :-)

Fabulous venue, with all the amenities you can expect in the highest category places. Parking was a huge help, though outside Avignon, which you understand when you see how narrow and small the streets are. We loved the location and the service was top notch. Once inside, it was so comfortable, with bathrobes, slippers, Cognac and great coffee (Fresh, not Nespresso!). We would definitely recommend this Home to all.

Les Anges was recommended by a friend. It was a shock! Everything exceeded our expectations! Easy arrival and (free) parking at the host's private villa. The host drove us to our home and took care of luggage. So easy and thoughtful! Spectacular luxury home that feels even better than it looks on the photos. Beautiful in every detail, furniture, paintings, amenities and decoration. sooo comfortable with lots of plaids, great heating, splendid bathroom and a fun and quick dishwasher for our glasses and champagne and cups. Great fresh coffee. Les Anges is very central, just a short walk from every major site and restaurant. You do not need a car in town at all. Champagne and lots of munchies on arrival. The kindness and knowledge of the host are off the chart, and you will feel like a special guest to the very last moment. Avignon was much more than we expected and you definitely need 3-4 days to enjoy everything at a relaxed pace. We will be back! We cannot recommend Les Anges enough, for a unique experience.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful apartment in the old city of Avignon. Les Anges offered traditional French styling and was warm and intimate. The bed was king-sized, with beautiful linens. The thoughtful touches, such as the art and other decorative pieces, created a wonderful ambience. Other highlights included fully equipped bathroom and kitchen (with coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine). We also had wi-fi, television service and plenty of capability for charging mobile devices. The location was also a standout feature. Situated in the heart of the old city of Avignon, it was within walking distance of the main attractions, including the Palais du Papes. The convenience of exploring Avignon on foot was enhanced by our half-day tour of the old city with Stephan, which gave us the opportunity to view parts of the old city we would never have otherwise had the opportunity to see. The hospitality offered by Stephan was exceptional. We had rented a car which we housed at Stephan’s home each evening and he drove us back to the old city (& picked us up in the mornings!). After a day of touring, it was such bliss not to have to worry about parking the car! It was such a delight each evening to open the big front doors of our building and enter the foyer of our very own apartment in France! Stephan generously offered local insights, recommendations, and helped ensure that every aspect of our stay in Avignon was seamless. His commitment to guest satisfaction was evident in the how well-maintained Les Anges was, and the thoughtful amenities provided.

It was perfect in all aspects.

In mid-October we (my wife and I) visited Avignon for 5 days and stayed (for 5 nights) in this beautifully furnished and decorated apartment of Stephan, situated at a very central location of the city, in a very quiet neighborhood, even though it was only minutes away from the main tourist attraction—Pope’s palace. We flew from the US into CDG, and from there took the TGV to Avignon (with a quick connection in Lyon) and were met at the TGV station by Stephan, who took us to the apartment by his car. It is what we would call in the US an efficiency apartment, with a kitchenette, fully supplied. The apartment had all the amenities one would need, and of the highest quality, a high-definition TV, and access to a high-speed internet. What we also found upon our arrival were a bottle of cognac, two bottles of champagne, and several jars of chocolates and candies as pleasant gestures of a warm welcome. We enjoyed the apartment a lot, and appreciated very much Stephan’s hospitality, who met us again in the apartment on our departure day at the agreed-upon time, to take us back to the train station. We highly recommend this lovely accommodation to those who have Avignon as a destination in their travel plans.

A fantastic stay perfected by the service of the host. Before we arrived in Avignon our host (Stephan) made sure, we had everything we needed. He offered us a safe parking spot next to his house and even charged my car for free, which serves as a first example of his exceptional idea of service. He drove us personally to our apartment in Avignon and gave helpful suggestions and background informations regarding Avignon. The apartment itself, which is perfectly located in the heart of Avignon, is truly well designed with everything taken care of. Cold drinks, amenities, snacks and a smart-tv at our disposale, we instantly felt at home. This whole stay was truly perfected through Stephan. He made sure that we didn‘t feel like we were staying in a random hotel, but in the apartment of a valued friend, while still offering the same amount of cleaniness and professionalism of a five star hotel. A very welcoming and knowledable person, he truly cares for his guests and makes sure we had a perfect stay. I‘m looking forward to revisit Avignon and will be certainly booking this apartment again.

Wonderful stay in Avignon! The apartment and Stephan's services made the trip, and the home far exceeded our expectations: it's perfect. Getting there was a breeze with Stephan's parking, the location is magical, you're near EVERYTHING by foot, minutes away, and the quality of everything was absolutely 5 stars. Great restaurant reservation for us. Fantastic bed, clean marble floor, lots of ice tea and Coca Cola in the fridge for us, incredible coffee and expresso machine.

Location is really fantastic. Perfect car service. We loved every minute in Avignon which is better than we imagined. This home was by far the most beautifully decorated of our journey. Host speaks perfect English and is a writer, with endless precious information on Avignon and the region, with great restaurant recommendations (genuine thaï food we didn't expect)!

We wish we could have stayed longer!!!!

We had a heavenly stay! A very romantic and comfortable home, with everything you can dream of, and more. It's central yet extremely quiet, near restaurants and cafés. For breakfast, Stephan recommended Chez Lisette, a minute away from les anges, a little bakery-restaurant that serves a great American type breakfast (even sausage and eggs!) and exquisite croissants and sacristins, an irresistable pastry with almonds! Stephan gave precious advice for sites and restaurants (We loved Ripert!) and was available at all times, from parking at his private villa, at arrival, to our departure, and beyond, recommending our next city's restaurant!

A great find! We were afraid of the crowds, noise and heat during the Avignon Festival but were so happily surprised by Les Anges. It's right downtown, behind the impressive Pope's Palace, it's quiet and the air conditionning is great. We felt like we were in the heart of the action whilst enjoying quiet and cool breaks in our home. The suite is amazing, with incredible marble floors, beautiful old French ceilings and lots of refined artwork. We are seasoned travelers but have seldom had 2 bottles of champagne in the fridge waiting for us, with loads of crackers and candy, and a fantastic free parking at the host's private home. It's easy, safe and free. Stephan is a great host, helpful throughout our short stay, recommending a great restaurant and booking a table for us and giving us precious advice to see the essentail of the city. Also, we're not used to being hosted by an American French writer and guide with so much knowledge. It was a fabulous experience and it's got everything we expected and much much more! We must be back for Stephan's tours.

Wonderful welcome! Champagne (2 bottles! Never seen this before). Beautiful decor, perfect AC in a very hot Avignon, cookies, fantastic grain coffee machine, plenty of caramels, and ice cold Coke!. Stephan provided parking outside Avifnon in his villa, about 10 minutes away ; free parking and Stephane deove us to the suite. All for free. Incredible service! Wére staying an extra night. We love it here!

It was a great experience for us. Stephan picked us up as agreed at the L'Ile Piot P+R car park and took us in style to the suite in the heart of Avignon. The space is decorated with good taste, you have privacy and intimacy and can do everything on foot in Avignon. Stephan was always ready to help and gave us good tips what to see in Avignon and very good restaurants. all in all it was a fantastic experience for us. We will definitely come back not only for the accommodations but also for Stephan.
