How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

A very nice hotel, very well kept with wonderful rooms and a breathtaking view. It is right in the heart of the town, yet quiet and easy to find parking, even in August.

The view on the tower is amazing, we loved our little terrace. The location is perfect and the staff is very friendly. Breakfast is good.

Gorgeous view from the balcony and the staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was ample and delicious and I would happily stay a week at this hotel in future rather than just one night.

Long fairly steep stairs to get to reception where the lift was. Public car parking in front of hotel bussy during the day.

It's a fairly quiet area. If you didn't have a car, you probably wouldn't want to stay here for more than a few days but it was great as one stop on a longer holiday.

Nothing in particular.
The location of the hotel is just amazing: rooms overlook the bay and the old fort. Rooms have a small balcony which sits in the evening sun. Breakfast at the hotel is good, although not really cheap (probably caused by the remote location of the town). The scenery around Porto Ota is beautiful: roads are great fun to drive and there are many hiking options. The town offers some nice restaurant options too.

The building is a bit old. It did not bother us otherwise, but the toilet lacked ventilation.
The view from the terrace was stunning! We could watch the sunset every night while sipping cold drinks thanks to the fridge found in the room. I think this hotel has the best location of all the hotels in Porto, not only because of the best view but also because of the proximity to the restaurants, harbor and the beach. Also, the hotel staff were friendly and the rooms were very clean.

wifi was spotty in the room
View, balcony, location! Hotel was fantastic. Great spot right on small cove in Porto Ota. I cannot say enough about the view, simply brilliant from our balcony. Sunsets were divine. Our room was very spacious with decent beds and plenty of shelves and storage for all our things. Good closet space and large bath with separate toilet which is so nice. Great to have a refrigerator too. Room was very well appointed. Lovely bars, restaurants, and stores were just steps away from the hotel. Excellent hiking was a short drive away. The entire area is a marvel of nature. I would love to go back! And would certainly stay at Les Flots Bleus.

Breakfast was a bit basic and expensive, lacking fruit and other options. Wifi did not reach our room ,but it was good in common areas. Bathroom was proper and clean but could use a slight update.
Staff was very helpful, we could check-in earlier than expected, they also suggested (and booked for us) a very nice restaurant. Thanks for that! The room is big and comfortable, with amazing views facing the genoese tower and over the sunset from the private balcony. Not to miss it! There is plenty of parking place in front of the hotel, just paying but only 0.5€/h. In the very centre of the Marine, walking distance from everything: restaurants, harbour, beach...

The breakfast could have been better and they need to take action to deter the yellow jackets.
Our room had a balcony with chairs that looked right out onto the harbor and the Genoese tower - a perfect view. The air conditioning and wi-fi worked very well.
