Lovely breakfast with a wonderful view of the river

Only minor but check in is not permanently manned. However someone soon turns up in response to the bell or a phone call.

Les Magnolias is a beautiful house, overlooking the Dordogne River. Our ensuite bedroom was enormous and decorated in a tasteful style, in keeping with the age of the house and with the promised view over the river. There is a large swimming pool with a view and plenty of loungers and chairs. There is a balcony on the next floor up, with fabulous views over the river. This available to all guests and if weather permits an excellent breakfast is served there. Owner kind enough to recommend excellent restaurant and ring and book it for us. Lalinde is a good base for exploring the Dordogne area. One can walk into town but we preferred to take the car.

Superb breakfast served on a balcony with splendid views over the Dordogne river. The fixed fine mesh in the window which kept mosquitos, etc out, a sign of care by the owners. The feel of the house. Helpful owners, ready to give hints about the area.

It was a shame we had to leave at 8.00 and before breakfast is served. It would have been good to have a croissant or bread roll to take with us.

Location with stunning views. Spacious & comfortable room. Fridge, swimming pool, pétanque, kitchen, hammock all available to use. Delicious breakfast. Parking on site. Wonderful hosts.

We liked all so much.

Absolutely awesome. We had a great stay at Les Magnolias. The BB was really really nice, our hosts were so kind, a delicious breakfast was served at the loveliest terrace of the place. The room was very big and comfortable. Enormous and very comfy bed.

Nothing!

This was our favourite property on our recent tour around France. We had a large, characterful and comfortable room with views of the garden and swimming pool. The pool is large with lots of sun loungers, seats and parasols. We enjoyed the excellent breakfast on the roof terrace directly overlooking the River Dordogne. The hosts are welcoming and very helpful. The property is well-located overlooking the river and is just a 15 minute walk from the centre of Lalinde.

Everything. The house is gorgeous, the river is just stunning, the rooms are tastefuly decorated and keep their old grand countriside manor charm. The hosts are brilliant and the breakfast great. What else to say.

The house is beautiful and set in a fabulous location. The facilities are great with self-catering option for guests, a beautiful outdoor pool and rest areas. The hosts are really friendly and helpful, we were made to feel most welcome.

Very comfortable stay at a lovely B&B situated on the Dordogne River. Beautiful views while having a lovely breakfast served by the property owners who were also quite lovely. Our room was quite spacious and beautifully furnished/decorated. The bed was fitted with luxury linens and a wonderfully comfortable mattress for a restful nights sleep. Quiet locale, beautiful grounds. Would highly recommend!

Short walk to town but a little dark at night walking along the street

Very nice couple run the hotel. They speak many languages. Good breakfast served on rooftop terrace. Beautiful grounds with pool and river front. Updated bathroom in old hotel with high ceilings and atiques

Lovely house breakfast was really lovely as well. Great location. The Hosts were very knowledgeable of the surrounding areas and recommended some great places to visit and eat at. Would recommend to anyone considering going there.

Bit concerned by the spiral staircase to the top floor terrace and breakfast area. One of the spindles was loose and the rope handrail was hanging on by a few threads at the top. Probably on the maintenance schedule anyway but an important detail to address.

Great room with lovely view of the river. Fabulous location right by the river. Good breakfast. Very welcoming hosts. The offer to use the kitchen to cook our own dinner was unexpected, welcome and very generous.
