Why don't French hotels have a kettle and access to tea and coffee in the room?

We stayed here with our two kids for a stop over to south of France. Big surprise is the restaurant which is much nicer as one would expect looking at the rest of the hotel.

The personnel (most of them) did not speak English. We booked on the way back from our holidays a room for 1 night but the receptionist could not find our reservation, although she made it herself. We felt kind of lucky that there was still a room available to stay for the night.

The hotel is situated nearby the highway, in a very quiet district. Great location! Their swimmingpool was clean and suitable not only to play in the water but also to swim. The swimmingpool is in a beautiful garden: perfect conditions to rest after a long drive. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and with air-conditioning.

No vegetarian or vegan options on restaurant menu; fixtures and fittings could do with modernising; the lack of an anti-slip mat for the bath/shower.

This 1950/1960 property was fully renovated and is pleasant but does not really row in as a 4 star, the room was fully renovated and modernised, but once the Couchbetts were extended, fairly cramped, an open bathroom did not offer any privacy and the stylish glass divider shower was stylish but not very practical and meant water was everywhere. The giant full force jacuzzi bath was functional, but pretty loud. Would not recommend this room for a small family, really only suitable for a couple. The breakfast was deceiving and decisively a 3 star at best.

Spa Hotel with outdoor pool and Restaurant in the vicinity of Valence at the outskirts of a village called Loriol, set in a garden with large trees and an old Olive tree that gives the name to the place. We booked a family suite, arriving in the region last minute as a stop over to our final destination. This room with a large jacuzzi, balcony and view to the garden, was comfortable and fitted the purpose. The food in the restaurant was very good and the service throughout very friendly.

The only thing that disappointed me was the food. I was still hungry afterwards.

The room was clean and large enough for the three of us. The restaurant was nice and comfortable. The staff were very friendly, it made a pleasant surprise.

Great location if you are on your way to the south of France, 5 min walk from a few supermarkets and Mc Donalds, and very quiet. Small rooms but have been recently refurbished, very clean. Great food at the restaurant

Breakfast is totally self service unless i missed something. I would have liked local products (cheese?) instead of the standard fare. I had no time to test the spa unfortunately.

Rooms a bit dated and lacking character. No hospitality tray or bottled water. Reataurant food didn’t quite live up to its imaginative menu. Room heating inadequate on a cool autumn evening.

Good location close to the motorway, in a green space just outside a small town. Easy, secure parking. Pleasant staff. Large room with comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. Lovely grounds and pool, though too late in the season for us to use, sadly.

The food. Dinner looked like something special, but the food was just overcomplicated, not delicious. Not much choice for breakfast.

It was nice to stay in this accommodation. We liked our contemporary room, nice staff, really big and clear swimming pool and safe parking. Thank you.

The breakfast buffet was nearly empty at 08.30 hrs and nobody filled it up again.

Beautiful place for staying one night on the trip to Southern France or Spain. Large Swimming pool and garden with trees, large car parking. Comfortable rooms. Especially good was the diner - very, very good and reasonable food!

It was a little gem where there was nothing else. The pool was really nice and also the gardens. The dinner was a real surprise, a gourmet restaurant at a reasonable price! Averall a good, relaxing stay.

Very nice hotel near to the motorway in Lyon, in a very quiet location. Excellent swimming pool which was used by all 6 of us after the drive from Cambrai. Excellent hotel with outdoor terrace and great food, with a McDonalds in walking distance for those in our group who preferred it. Luxury rooms which were a good size.

Quite expensive overall but we knew this when booking. We had to stop, as auto-route was moving absolutely nowhere so would have paid anything!

Last minute stop over for us due to traffic on auto-route. Booked only 5 minutes before arrival. As mentioned by others, work is being carried out so hotel doesn't look that great at the moment and appearance of corridors does not do the rooms credit. Only room available was the suite with spa bath which was a bonus, although quite expensive. Direct access to a private, little terrace with table and chairs and pool was nice. Large Pool and terrace was quiet when we arrived and really good to have. Supermarket 600m away. Did not eat at hotel at all but restaurant seemed popular. Left at 6am to avoid traffic and night staff were pleasant and accommodating.
