Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The hotel is very well located, in front of the sea. We travelled with 2 kids and we gor a familiar room, which was very clean and fresh. The people in the reception were very friendly.

CanadaEverything was great! We wanted to stay longer.
Very pretty little room. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. An excellent balcony overlooking Fréjus beach with enough sun shade and privacy. As a family owned independent hotel the staff were amazing, friendly and ready to help. Breakfast was good and what you would expect with pastries, and compotes, cheeses, eggs etc. We spent the 1st night of our honeymoon here and would happily return.

United Arab EmiratesThere was nothing not to like.
This is a hidden little gem. The location is fantastic, just across a beautiful beach. The view is beautiful if you have a window overlooking the beach. The staff was super pleasant. The property clean. Beds were very comfortable. All in all it was a great short stay for us and somewhere to come back to for few days.

FranceThe walls in the room had cheap finishes and a weird yellow color (little annoying if you spend quite some time in the room). There was not proper ventilation in the bathroom, it was always humid and hot.
Ideal location, comfortable beds, very nice spacious balcony with sea view. Very friendly and welcoming stuff at the reception, as well as cleaning ladies. A nice cafe / bar downstairs and many-many other cafes/ shops around. Beautiful spacious beach just in front

United KingdomIt was absolutely fine for us, but just to keep in mind, the room is quite small, and probably could benefit from a fresh coat of paint. Also, the lift is rather small and not recommended if you're claustrophobic! We really appreciated being on the beachfront, near many restaurants, but another thing worth keeping in mind is that the outdoor terraces can get a bit noisy with people enjoying themselves at dinner etc.
The location was great, right on the Frejus Beach and only a 12-min walk from Saint-Raphael Valescure train station. We had a sea view and it was beautiful. I appreciated the kettle and the mini-fridge in the room.

CanadaSlippery the shower's floor, narrow shower door/opening, barely I made it in especially for XXL /big size people like me is a kind of struggling, A/C not to easy to handle when we tried to put it on dehumidifier mode. Overall it was OK for one night even maybe for a full long weekend but hard to manage all these for long run 7-10 days or more.
Positives : Location, view, elevator on site, cleanliness, friendly helpful staff. Thank you !

United KingdomFridge in room would have been good, little bit hard to keep water and other things cool.
Check in was easy, staff very good. Location is perfect for the beach and not too noisy despite being surrounded by many different bar and restaurant options. Even though there is no parking at the hotel it was very easy to find free or paid spaces within a short walk.

NetherlandsNot a real dislike because I already knew when I booked, but the room is quite small and you don't really have a city view (I was staying on the 3rd floor).
Location is right at the beach and close to the train station (St Raphael Valescure) and the shops on the boulevard and in St Raphael. Nice to have a balcony and be able to sort of make that part of the room, since it is small. You have sufficient room for your stuff though.

Belgium- the hotel is located on the main street, it may be agitated in the evening; - there was no water for breakfast; - the toilet could have been renovated;
The Hotel is very well located - in front of the beach - very easy access; the cleaning personnel is very very good - our room was made up daily and every time it was outstanding; the family room is a really good solutions when you travel with kids; there is even a separate huge TV in the "kids room"; the sea view on St-Raphael from the 3rd floor is just great; the personnel is helpful, smiling and welcoming; very nice lady on breakfast; the breakfast is complete;
