We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomSome aspects of the room seemed dated or 'tired'. The shower door was broken, which we did report on check out. There is also not a closing bathroom door but a 'western-saloon-style swing door with large gaps top and bottom. It would be our choice to have a proper door.
The location was very central for the sights of the town. The parking is close to the hotel, and we could use that prior to our check-in time. The staff were very pleasant and the lobby area very attractive. Although we did not eat at the hotel, the dining room looked very nice. For such a central location I felt it was a fair price.

PolandNo air condition, so we had to shut the blinds to avoid heat in the room. Otherwise, everything was excellent.
Hotel is in the superb location - just in the heart of Vichy. Excellent to visit old part of Vichy or go for lunch or dinner around. It is in a nice, old building and despite there is no air condition - the room was not very hot. Very good breakfast. Fantastic service - people are very nice there and helpful.

United KingdomThe only comment would be that perhaps the hotel needs some updating and refurbishment. The wallpaper and carpets could do with some attention.
The location of the Midland Hotel couldn’t be more central in Vichy. They do have secure parking for about 15-20 cars very near the hotel, but the spaces get reserved quickly. If full, then there is a QPark about a 5 minute walk away which is excellent and costs about €12 for 24hours. The double room we had was quite spacious, the bed comfortable with plenty of pillows, but the en suite shower room is accessed via swing saloon style doors so there is no sound-proofing or light filter between the bathroom and bedroom. The shower room was very compact but everything worked ok. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was a good buffet style (for an additional cost) but only offered boiled eggs as a hot choice - otherwise it was a good selection of cereals, yoghurts, stewed fruits, cold meats, cheeses and bread/croissants etc. There is a restaurant at the hotel, which we didn’t try, but many other people did so it was nicely full. The hotel offers a great one night stop in the centre of Vichy, so within walking distance of all the main attractions.

The twin room was large enough to comfortably accommodate two non-intimate friends….hard to find in France. The beds were comfortable and location very good with restaurants nearby. The lobby is attractive and the price very reasonable.
