The hotel could do with an upgrade and has too few staff when busy. The car park is a walk through the grounds which would not be ideal if you had difficulty walking.

Close to the Loire River in a small village ideal for a night’s stopover. The room was large with separate bathroom and WC plus air conditioning. Dinner was reasonable and breakfast good.

Wonderful location in a small quiet village a couple of miles outside of Saumur on the north west bank of the river Loire. A traditional French Hotel with good traditional French cooking. Good air-con in rooms. A 200m walk to banks of the Loire.

We didn’t like having to walk from the hotel room through the outdoor restaurant to get to/from the pool. A fridge/minibar and kettle would have been a great addition.

The pool was lovely. The grounds were lovely, there was ample parking and the staff were pleasant and helpful.

evening meal was adequate, sadly. 2nd night no evening meal advertised so went elsewhere dog friendly room but disappointed with stains on the carpet

live music for 1st night at dinner fantastic. shame not every night pool was exceptionally good but lacking more loungers/space. accepting dogs, very dog friendly. access during hours and out of hours very easy 👍 air conditioning important as outside temp in the 30’s very quiet and tranquil 😊

It was a little dated, in need of a spruce up and modernising. There was no air con and while the windows were lovely and large they were a little low to leave open at night with young children and no way of locking them open

The staff were fantastic, Ram was particularly helpful. They even took our coffe cups and put them through the dishwasher when all we ask for was a rinse in some water. The location was lovely and close to the river. The breakfast had plenty to choose from and good quality food. They offered to leave us some food out as were arriving late which a thoughtful offer and a lovely late night snack. They were very accommodating not making us move the car to the main car park late at night and letting us check out a bit later giving the boys a chance to swim. Lovely out door terrace and boules to play with and a big grassy area for the children to run around on. Reliable, fast and accessible wifi

The facilities were rather old and tired looking and although it was confirmed that I would have a double bed it actually was two singles pushed together and inevitably I found myself falling in between. The shower was leaking badly and I mentioned it to the staff however regardless that I was told a plumber would fix it nothing ever happened. As a vegan I wasn’t expecting much being in France and in a small village however the staff was very helpful and I got to chat with the chef who did produce something for me at mealtimes. Only once my meal was a plate of boiled broccoli, cauliflower and a few bits of carrots which I returned untouched. The following two meals were very nice.

Lovely building on the outside in a fairly quiet location outside of Saumur. There were trains going past but they weren’t a nuisance, at least not to me.

The breakfast was excellent and included bacon and scrambled eggs as well as the usual continental breakfast items. The pool was superb and a real bonus as the weather was hot but also quiet as it was out of season. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

The only problem was the lack of transport in the village, no bus or train, just taxi. On days where my friend didn't come to get us in the car we couldn't really go anywhere. Also most of the food places were only open in the evening, though that is probably just cause I am used to living in a city. The village itself was lovely. A vending machine or something like that might be nice in the hotel for daytime snacks.

The room was clean and a nice size. The Air-conditioning was great, wouldn't have survived French summer without it. The pool was much better than initially expected wish I had spent some more time in it.

Complete disorganized. The handover among shifts is appalling: they tried to charge us two full dinners (3 courses each) when in reality we had only two courses. Cannot trust such aproximation - always at expense of the customer.

Great structure, parking available and swimming pool, accepted request for a special meal due to temporary sickness of one of us (although quite rare for a restaurant not having plain boiled rice but only pasta.. but ok).
