Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe shower could be a little bigger but wasn’t a big deal at all! Everything else was what you’d expect for your money!
The location of the hotel was perfect and the staff were lovely. Located right by the ski lifts and near the town centre. Has space for ski storage and a little jacuzzi/sauna area that you can use during your stay too.

United KingdomBed was very small. Breakfast overpriced and not good enough. What shocked us the most is an absence of sockets in the room. There was only 1 socket for TV. We had problem charging phones, and using other electrical devices. I asked for 3 way plug but it didn’t work. Very very strange.
We only stay a night and the location and food bit all the minuses.

United KingdomBreakfast could have been better and also it would be nice to be asked in the morning if you would like to book an evening meal for the same day, I think guests should get preference first. We found we could not dine on our arrival as it is only small and they were fully booked

United KingdomThe hotel is tired and in need of investment. For example carpets are well worn and the electrical system is not great in some of the rooms to charge devices etc.
The location could not be better in this resort and the staff at the hotel were excellent. Breakfast and dinner were really good but the fabric of the hotel requires some investment. It felt like a restauarnt with rooms, rather than a hotel with a restaurant!

United KingdomRoom could do with a kettle/coffee making option.
Great location, easy access to the town and ski lifts super close. The room was comfortable and clean, with a great set up for skiing (lockers in the basement with a handy side access door for exit/entry. Spa (sauna and steam room) was a dream after a day on the slopes, you book this as a private session for your room/group. Breakfast an additional €13 but this is money well spent with a selection of breads, cereal, pastries, coffee, juices etc. Staff very helpful and friendly, we would head back in an instant.

FranceSome unpleasant smells came out of the bathroom as we entered the room. Probably due to the old pipings themselves.
We booked on last minute despite the high demand. Online request was easy, quick. The place is cute and extremely comfortable, well located if you have a car, with a welcoming staff providing with explanations on the local area. We also had late dinner there, and could enjoy typical Savoyard dishes and good wine. Definitely recommend.

United KingdomThe bathroom was a bit tired looking, but we believe that they may be in the process of upgrading the rooms as our friends room had a beautiful bathroom.
The room was comfortable enough, it had a king size bed, cupboards to hang your clothes, a table and TV. It wasn't noisy in the evenings so sleeping wasn't a problem. It had a help yourself buffet breakfast with plenty of choice, and as much coffee or tea as you wanted. We also had a lovely evening meal there. It is in an ideal location in the centre, you could walk to everywhere, there were free buses laid on to visit other towns and gondolas to go up into the mountain area where there were a number of restaurants - spectacular views. There were lovely walks and lots of children's activities in La Clusaz, we have already recommended it to friends.

United KingdomFor a superior triple, the room was quite compact. We only used the spa once as our eyes were stinging at the end (maybe too much chlorine) although the hot tub was nice after a day on the slopes. In the town, parking was quite expensive and weekly tickets only worked Sat-Sat, not so good as we were Sunday-Sunday. During school holidays we found we had to book restaurant tables 2 days in advance for the early sittings.
Room was comfortable, clean and nicely laid out. Shower was good. Balcony had view of the mountains. Location was perfect, a very short walk to the lifts, breakfast was good value and the restaurant served nice meals. Town has a nice feel with good quality restaurants. Driveable from Calais

United StatesRooms and bathroom were pretty dated. It was ok for just one night but frankly in this day and age - and having stayed in other La Clusaz properties - one would expect modern amenities. Also dissapointed not to find full sized croissants or pain au chocolat at breakfast, nor vegetal milk of any kind. The breakfast nook is really tiny and the queue that forms in it is annoying.
The central location is quite nice
