Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe room, although a deluxe, felt cramped. The step in bath/shower was awkward to access/egress. A regular shower would've been much better.
Great location beside Basilique Saint-Michel, view from the room in attached photo. A 40 min ride on Tram A from Airport and affords easy walking access to the historic city. All staff very nice, polite and helpful. Lots of restaurants in the locality too.

United StatesWe stayed in the balcony room, which was really lovely looking out over St Michel cathedral but that particular room is right over the bar and captures the thud of the electrónica music until after 1 AM.
The location is fantastic, walkable to most of the historic sites and yet in its own distinct neighborhood.

Netherlands1 tiny thing; housekeeping knocking on my door at 10 and 10.30 on the day of departure, even though check out was at 11, so eventually i left earlier. Not a big issue, but i do have to mention it.
Staff so friendly! Great room with amazing view. Breakfast minimalistic, but good quality and enough. Nice bar with drinks and snacks. I really liked the atmosphere, but be aware that it is a bar with rooms and not a hotel, so maybe not suitable for everyone. Would def book again! Bordeaux is amazing!

IrelandThe only thing is that the room was connected to our bathroom by a glass sliding door which can be uncomfortable for using the bathroom if you’re sharing the room - not much privacy! 😅
I loved the location, its a short walking distance to all the sights in Bordeaux! The room was small but very cosy and comfortable and the shower was amazing! It was so nice to have the bar beneath us which served tasty food as we arrived late the first night!

ItalyRoom at third floor with no elevator. Window in the room could not be opened (one was broken and the other sealed) so we had to keep the door open for air change.
Beautiful and central location, rooms are very nice and the ones with view of the cathedral have wonderful view. Staff was very kind and helpful. The bar and it’s atmosphere are definetly a plus!

United KingdomThe bar below is lovely and a great spot for an aperitif however the noise from the speakers can be heard from late afternoon until 11pm every night, later at the weekend. This is a fun lively hotel, if you want a peaceful stay I would advise not to choose Room 12 the balcony room. There are 2 rooms above both with Church view that I would choose next time, The area is towards the Southern part of the City (The North is grander near Intercontinental Hotel) and is very mixed, think Soho/Shoreditch not Mayfair, but that's what makes it different. No tea/coffee facilities in the rooms is a disappointment and expected in a hotel at this price level. Drinks available for 4 Euros from the bar.
Location, Room 12 the balcony room was the best in size and had a lovely view of the Church. A bath in the room with shower and a very open plan layout, comfortable bed and very attentive staff that despite our conversational french spoke good English. Quality hotel with quality bathroom and bedroom fixtures.

IrelandNothing! We were very impressed with everything. Nothing needed to be improved in our view.
The room we booked was excellent. Two bedrooms were perfect for the three of us. Beds were super comfortable and the cleaning of the rooms each day when were were out was brilliant. All other facilities were excellent (shower, TV and kitchen). Location of the hotel was excellent, quiet area and close to all major shopping and restaurant areas. The staff were very friendly. An excellent place to stay and would fully recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area for a short break.

United KingdomRooms are small, but this is an older property, and actually, something you have to expect in France, in what is a former residence. No big deal.
