How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Having extra pillows. There was only one spare pillow
Great stay for two friends visiting the city for the weekend. Super easy to get around, close to the metro. Staff were super friendly and helpful Clean and worth the price and what was expected

Toilet didn’t stop filling after flushing Shower over bath didn’t work and the cubicle was too small. Water not contained within cubicle and flooded the floor Air con blew hot air despite being very hot in room and setting at 10c Could have tea making facilities Breakfast very poor on Sunday. The fruit salad consisted of a cut up cucumber. No eggs available by the egg boiler
We chose the hotel because we had been there before and like the area. Room was of a reasonable size.lobby area is welcoming and the staff fantastic

It would be great to have a kettle in a room, there is a coffee machine, but kids for example don't drink coffee

The room was very small for 2 people, in the picture the room was bigger. The bed occupied 80% of the room.. the money I paid were a lot comparing with the value of the room.

The room was a little tiny, not so much space for a large luggage bag. Same meals every day with no variety and poor choice of meals.
Cosy, comfortable and silent room with artistic design. Very friendly and helpful stuff with French charming in the reception. Two metro stations are nearby.

I have no complaints!
It was so cute and unique! The room was a very decent size considering it was in Paris, and it was very clean as well. All the facilities worked great and we enjoyed everything provided to us. The staff was very kind while we were there and helped us with everything we needed. The hotel was also in a wonderful location, with a metro stop, grocery store and an amazing bakery right around the corner. Even though our room was right above the street, it was still very quiet and we had no problems with noise. Overall a wonderful stay and would absolutely stay here again.

We spend 3 days in the hotel , and what I want to say that , bathroom is so bad , because there is no drainage in the bathroom, there are no towels for the floor, it is not possible to take a shower in the bath because there isn’t any bathroom curtain, and all the water is on the floor, there is some in the other shower stall, but there is still something missing that can hold water. another important thing was sound insulation, was so bad

I've told the romanian manager "Gabriela" about the fact that my things have been stolen from my bag and from inside my room and guess what she didn't seem to be bothered, in the matter of fact she came with a bad attitude upstairs my room and she began to search behind my bed for my stolen things. Then 2 days after she contacted my in whatsapp, but probably she didn't like the fact that i wrote a review about the situation. Very bad costumer service and bad manager attitude !! Disgraceful hotel !
Don't go here !! Housekeeping stealing from my bag and the manager and staff weren't even bothered. Breakfast is a disgrace and also the facilities. Receptionist are very friendly, but this place isn't a great location for a holiday ! They say it's a 4 star, but not even 1 maybe. Never going back ! Disgraceful !!
