Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaOnly problem is parking and the occasional mosquito . Needs screens on the windows to let in Fresh air .
Bordeaux is an unknown gem which has all the charm and attractions of Paris but condensed dwn to a manageable size for a 2-3 day stay . It’s clean , sophisticated and safe . Great shopping - Many restaurants and lively nightlife in the walkable Center . This small boutique Hotel is in the heart of it all but in a quiet location . Very congenial young host who will do anything for you . Facilities are good if not luxurious.

NetherlandsLovely boutique hotel in the centre of Bordeaux with everything on the doorstep. The room was spacious with views of the Gambetta square, modern bathroom, comfortable beds and the complimentary Canneles were a lovely touch! The staff is very helpful and friendly, they were all happy to make recommendations. The location is great, the shopping is right around the corner, as are the many restaurants and cafes that Bordeaux counts. All the famous sights and things to do are reachable on foot or by public transport. The tram stops are all within striking distance from the hotel, they will take you around town, but also a bit further afield, including the airport.

United KingdomNot a criticism, but note there is no lounge or dining room, so we had breakfast at the café next door. You could also order breakfast to your room.
Excellent location just off Place Gambetta, easy walk to cafes, cathedral, Musee des Beaux Arts and tram stop. Nice little shops on the same street, including a lovely chocolaterie. This is a charming little hotel run by a husband and wife team who speak French and English and are most welcoming and helpful. Extremely comfortable bed and pillows and little traffic ensured good nights' sleep.

FranceI found the bed slightly soft and pillows slightly firm but that is totally subjective and hotels can’t please everyone because we all have different likes and dislikes. I’m sure they would have changed the pillows had I asked because they really want you to have a good stay.
Fabulous location. Charming and warm welcome. Quirky decor, retaining many old architectural features but modern equipment such as Nespresso machine, USB point and great mirrors.

United KingdomNothing detracted from our experience.
We were visiting La Femina Theatre to see the Bootleg Beatles so very handy for that. Plenty of restaurants to cater for our needs, pre theatre, post theatre drinks and breakfast the following day. We also added a walk round the old City area and shops. Despite a rainy drizzly day we enjoyed all that Bordeaux had to offer. The Hotel staff (& owners) were great, easy access/egress, pleasant and informative. Made our stay very comfortable. Nice room, great nights sleep and windows opened onto a typical French City scene, the park, restaurants and people being busy.

IrelandBecause it is squeezed into an older property the rooms are quite small but this was offset by the fact that we spent very little time there.
This Hotel is an excellent location for a short city break as it readily accessible for the major attractions and for excellent restaurants, cafes and shopping. The staff were very helpful in making suggestions and providing useful information.

SpainAgreement with close parking lot (expensive: 22€ / day) & not easy to enter with a big car (not the hotels' fault at all)
At the reception they were quite nice to us, giving us many indications & recommendations. Hotel was clean & quiet; they gave us a room with a large bath (interior but with good light)

United KingdomOur room was situated next to the lift shaft. It disturbed us at 6:30 am when it was used. There are ducts to the rear of the building than create noise too. Our room was at the rear and was dark. I believe the rooms at the front have magnificent views of the gate.
The hotel is situated in a beautiful spot in the centre of Bordeaux. The room was larger than average and we had a bath with was great after a long day of walking. The restaurant below is very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

United KingdomThe hotel itself is very centrally located - easily walkable to all points. The hotel was very comfortable, nice rooms. The reception was very friendly and helpful, providing good recommendations for eating places, things to do and see etc. Whilst the hotel has no in-house dining they will provide breakfast to your room for a small fee, else the location means plenty of dining places within 50 metres of the front door. If you arrive by air, then the tram stop (Mediadeck EUR 1.80 each way/25 min journey) is 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

United KingdomLack of space in general, i.e. small lift, narrow corridor, small room. Next to the kitchen of a brasserie, food smell. We also suffered a real fire alarm and had to be evacuated due to the proximity of the kitchen next door.
