Location was excellent. Camille and Philippe were very welcoming and even picked us up at the train station in La Baule when the bus service to Guerande let us down. We were very grateful for this. Breakfast every morning was really nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the accommodation.

Not a lot of sound proofing between our bedroom (the jeaune room) and the toilet, so perhaps not the best room to choose if you want to preserve your modesty on the loo! But, otherwise, a beautiful room!

Beautiful building, with each room individually decorated with a unique, thoughtful and slightly quirky style. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful. Excellent location, right in the centre of Guerande within easy walking distance of all that the beautiful Town has to offer.

It was all good

The room was great and very large. Breakfast was lovely and the owners were very friendly. The house is immaculate and has an amazing style. There was plenty of on site parking.

Unfortunately our visit coincided with a heat wave (30+). The lack of air conditioning was very marked, so too was the fact that the duvet was still of winter quality. In normal circumstances these are minor issues but should be noted.

The location is excellent. Great to have parking available. The standard room was quiet, comfortable with a good view of the church. The optional breakfast is very good- breads, cheese, ham, conserves, cake, fromage frais, fresh fruit, fresh orange juice and a choice of hot drinks. The public areas are very comfortable and the garden is available to guests. There is a good WiFi service.

What a wonderful B&B. Lovely hosts, great breakfast, the little touches in the room and talk about the location! Guerande is a great place to visit. Lots to see in the town and surrounding areas.

No negatives that I could think of. Maybe a heads-up that my room had bathtub shower arrangement and not a conventional "standing shower" space, meaning it's slightly different (not a negative really!).

Lovely stay in a historic building within the medieval walls. The room was reasonably sized, had a tasteful décor, very clean and had great views. Service was exceptional and very accommodating (could communicate French and English) throughout the stay. Cannot stress enough how beautiful the whole building (and its décor throughout) is and what amazing atmosphere it has!

Most hotels are just a bed with bath in a sheltered space. La Guérandière is all that and more. This Maison d'Hôte is a historic manor house from the early 19th century decorated to recall that period but with comfortable beds, modern plumbing and a delicious breakfast. Camille and Philippe are charming hosts always ready to respond to any request and provide guidance for visitors to historic Guérande which is just outside the front door. This location is a memory to be recounted to your friends for years to come. You will be lucky if you can get a reservation so plan ahead or go during the off season.

We loved our time in La Guérandière. The location inside the town walls was wonderful. Our hosts were charming and infinitely helpful. Being able to walk to restaurants at night was also great and the breakfasts were the best we've had anywhere we have stayed. We would definitely return.

This is not a critisism of the hotel but finding a restaurant that wasn't a creperie on the Monday night was a bit of a challenge. Eventually opted for a creperie that also did mouelles and chips we were not disapointed so we then had a lovely crep for afters with a cheeky bottle of sweet cider!

The location was perfect with car parking within the city walls. The staff were fantastic. We don't usually have breakfast in hotels but the lovely breakfast room and other write ups on this hotel changed our minds. It was well worth it.

A lovely and stylish house on the town wall. Very easy to find. Very comfortable room and bed. We had a warm greeting from the owners.
