Very tastefully decorated and maintained property. The bedroom had a modern air conditioning unit which was useful given the heat at the time. The Bathroom was clean and well appointed with a shower, Toilet and sink. The owner managers were very pleasant and obviously managed the property themselves. They had a very pleasant lounge downstairs and common "kitchen" which was stocked with cold water and a modern capsule coffee machine for communal use. Would definitely stay again as the apartment, which was one of six in a nicely converted building is well located close to the port and many restaurants.

The hotel was beautifully renovated and in a fantastic location to explore the city and eat out. The hosts were really helpful and accommodated our needs. Highly recommend staying here.

The lock on our room door didn’t work, but the hosts worked hard to solve the problem. They took the problem seriously and even comp’d our breakfast, which we appreciated.

Beautiful room, really comfortable and so calm. Great location, close to the centre of town and the hosts were very helpful, and accommodating, they made us feel very welcome.

We loved this place. It couldn’t be more conveniently located for visiting La Rochelle. And walking to restaurants, bars, stores, etc. The owners are charming. The building is beautiful and tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable. There is a kettle in the room. There is a nice outdoor terrace area and a kitchen, although the accommodation does serve breakfast upon request. There was a place to store our bicycles and a launderette two minutes walk away. Highly recommend!!

Room was a bit small however I would not call this a problem because the location made up for it.

Greeted by a very friendly host. He gave us recommendations for the best restaurants and things to do in La Rochelle. The property was so clean. The location was fantastic. Less than a 5 minute walk to all the main bars and restaurants however the location itself was off a side street therefore it was very quiet and we were not disturbed by noise during the night or in the morning. Very comfortable bed Communal terrace and kitchen in building for extra space. Was perfect for our 2 day stay in La Rochelle.

Very stylish Hotel in a perfect postion for the Vieux Port. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Had a great time as the "Francofollies" were taking place with accompanying street artists. Great fun!! Restaurants very good with a variety of cuisines.

while traveling we did not have internet to arrange a time for check in. Did not understand the property was unobtrusive with no sign so finding it became a challenge. Would like clearer check in instructions earlier and what to expect. After enjoyed the unobtrusive aspect.

Everything is perfect about this property. Hosts were very friendly and responsive. They've obviously put a lot of energy into restoring the building and it's stunning. The location is perfect. Room was clean and cosy and we had an exceptional night's sleep. Would definitely return in the future.

Given the context (historical building, renovated lege artis), everything was perfect. For future guest, bare in mind that rooms are small and noise insulation has objective limitations. There is also no A/C in the rooms yet (according to the hosts, this will be remedied in the winter of 2022).

It's absolutely exquisite, a true petit luxe experience! The lobby is like an interior design museum and the attention to detail is remarkable. The common areas (inner courtyard and kitchen) are a delight to be in. The rooms, although small and minimalistically equipped, are a cocoon of comfort. Irreproachably clean. From the moment we stepped inside, we felt like taking our shoes off, immersing ourselves in relaxation.

the only problem we had was the temperature in our room, which was slightly stifling even with the fan that was provided but we were staying at the end of an extreme heatwave. Our room wasn’t particularly large but there is plenty of space to relax elsewhere in the property

Nicolas and Valentine have created the perfect bijou gite, which is not only meticulously thought out in every designer detail (we even copied them by buying the same jams for home!) but is also warm and welcoming too thanks to their enthusiasm and dedication
