This hotel is beautiful with a big garden and a swimming pool. There are nice places to sit, read, and relax. You can also play table tennis and pool. The hosts, Julia and Robert, are very friendly and make the stay special.

We loved every aspect.

We loved everything about this hotel! Not only was it a beautiful place, with lovely gardens, a pool area and super comfy rooms and big beds, Rob and Vanessa were also the greatest hosts - so genuine, so warm and welcoming and giving us excellent recommendations in the local area. If you want to explore Bordeaux, Saint Emilion and Bergerac then this is perfectly located to drive to all three. Rob and Vanessa also have great recommendations for markets and restaurants nearby that are well worth a visit.

There was a limited selection of fruit for breakfast but not a huge problem because we always have our own supply ! We would have liked a fridge in our room just to keep our fruit and water cool . The mosquitoes are a nuisance so visitors need to have a good supply of sprays and anti histamine creams .

Breakfast was fine pretty much what I expect for a hotel in France . The hotel has a very relaxed feel and our hosts were extremely accommodating . Nothing was too much trouble . The beds are comfortable and the shower was efficient everything we want from a hotel stay .

The breakfast was great with fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, cereals, etc and yummy omelette cooked to order. Vanessa also catered for gluten free. The room was spacious and very clean, with a very comfortable bed. Hosts were amazing at helping us book a kayaking tour and restaurants etc etc.Always with a smile 😊 thank you

Amazing stay. The chateau is absolutely perfect and has an amazing home from home feel. It’s a great base to explore the Dordogne with lots of lovely local restaurants and vineyards nearby. The pool and gardens are lovely and relaxing - pictures don’t do it justice - and there is plenty to do at the house for everybody. Rob & Nessa strike a perfect balance of providing the local know-how and extremely friendly approach while allowing you to enjoy the place like it is your own. Couldn’t recommend enough if you want a relaxing escape!

There was nothing we didn't like...other than the mistake of only booking for 2 nights.

The room was gorgeous, spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfy. Everything about this place oozes French charm and sophistication, it is a stunning building both inside and out. Breakfasts were excellent. A very good selection of pastries, fresh fruit, yoghurt, juices and tea/coffee...and fantastic scrambled eggs! All served up outdoors in a delightful setting in the gravelled courtyard - it was perfect! Vanessa was the perfect host, her attention to detail is second to none, giving us great advice about the local area and even booking local restaurants for our evening meals - which made our stay even more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend the Manoir Du Bois Mignon to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay in this part of France!!!

We had a great stay at Manoir du Bois Mignon. The location is excellent for day trips in the Dordogne region, including canoeing on the Ardèche river. The accommodation is even prettier than the photos suggest: the room (or in our case rooms as we stayed on the top floor), shared living areas on the ground floor and the garden and pool. Very good breakfast. The hosts (Vanessa and Rob) go above and beyond to make sure you’re enjoying your stay. The best surprise was dog Rosie, who welcomed us every day with her cuddles!

Staying at Manoir du Bois is one of those experiences that transcends standard tick box answers. You can’t really put a score on having a relaxed family environment where all of our party felt at home. Rob and Vanessa go out of their way to embrace you into their lovely home and recommend wonderful places to eat. If you’re there on a Saturday morning do visit the local market and if you really want to find out about local wine, Château Feely is a must.

Where to begin? The Manoir is a fabulous property in a lovely setting right near the Dordogne! We had the warmest of welcomes from Rob Vanessa and the gorgeous Rosie (Labrador) Our hosts cooked lovely meals for us on several occasions and breakfasts were plentiful and filling! But most of all Rob Vanessa (and Barnaby) went above and beyond helpful to us when we had a small health issue and a car breakdown!! We can’t thank them enough for their kindness and support during a particularly worrying time!! We will definitely return to this beautiful Manor House, and try not to be so needy next time😂
