Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

All the above plus great view of Gare de l'Este and the surrounding area. Many places of a variety of prices to eat. The souvenir shop near Burger King was also Post Office and sold international stamps. Oh yes, handy bus stops too. A handy supermarket for those extras and forgotten items. Friendly people everywhere.

PolandBreakfast wasn’t amazing. There was no milk alternative, very limited selection. The first impression not amazing- you’re welcomed by an empty desk - the lobby is on the fist floor. The exterior doesn’t give you 4 star hotel vibe, next door is a hotel with 3 stars and is looking much better.
The room was clean, super comfortable bed and bedding!

NetherlandsThe hotel is directly above one of the metro lines - hence I was on the 3rd floor and I could feel the movement of the metro in the evening and early morning. This was not noisy, just you felt the movement. The breakfast was poor - no choice of coffees - only black with milk, and a very crowded room with communal tables.
The hotel is on the upper floors of a building directly opposite Gare De l'Est and about 15 mins walk from Gare du Nord. The rooms were modern and the bed was very comfortable. The free offer from the mini bar - water and Coke was a nice touch. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Pleasant staff.

United Kingdommy only complaint was me (17) and my boyfriend (18) stayed for the weekend and I was informed when we arrived that they would have liked to have been notified or had some confirmation from my parents as I’m underage.
Very good walking distance to all major train and metro lines (even tho we found it difficult to understand the system) a lot of good restaurants close by and easy to understand the layout and where you are after a while of walking around. Check in was nice and easy

United KingdomHorrible access from street with no obvious front entrance. It is easily missed! We had to ask at Reception in the nearby Libertel hotel for direction to the entry. There is no immediate entry to the unmanned small reception desk. It is necessary to ring a contact buzzer/ bell on the side wall of the narrow glass entry door to explain your presence and request entry. The price charged for the night was excessive, albeit that the Rugby World Cup competition was on.
Excellent design and use of limited space. Comfortable bed, modern and well equipped bathroom with excellent shower. Good double glazed windows making the room surprisingly quiet.

The room was small but for one person it was actually good! The area is not amazing BUT very close to Le Marais so it good for me since I had a budget per night.

KuwaitOur room was on first floor and near the breakfast room so it was loud in the morning. Shades weren't large enough to block the light. Remote control wasn't working. To get in the hotel, you need to ring in an outside bell so they can buzz you in.
Proximity to the train station. Easy to get to. Staff were really friendly and we got late checkout. Bathroom was good. Mini bar was free (if i remember correctly)
