How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

No lift. If you have a heavy luggage be prepared to carry it on the stairs.
Close to the motorway. Comfortable beds and walls are soundproof which offers the possibility of having a good sleep. Staff were friendly and helpful. We’ve been upgraded to a bigger room as they had some available.

Only one pillow each, one towel was large, the other small, and the bathroom left a bit to be desired on the cleanliness front. It was tired, & none too clean. The shower cubicle was very small & filthy in the corners. The shower head itself was disgusting!
The young lady who looked after us at reception & was also there organising breakfast was very pleasant & helpful. Room was decent value for money - as a dormitory hotel for one night!

Room and bathroom were very small. Internet would not work at all. Breakfast scrambled eggs not replaced. Whole place run by one young girl receptionist who could not cope.

excellent comfy bed so clean and quiet and reception staff so helpful. Annabelle cleaned the room to the highest standard and Doriane helped us with what was open due to Easter and was generally excellent

We were greeted by a friendly man who explained everything for us. The room although basic was ok for our needs of a one night stay. At breakfast we were helped by Akram who explained where everything was in a very friendly manner and he engaged in polite and friendly conversation, he seemed to be doing everything on his own and is a credit to your company.

We use it at least 3 times each year as it is ideal for our tip from Frejus to Caen for ferry home. The staff member is extremely helpful and the stay is comfortable and good value.

A little rushed at breakfast. Yes, the manager is so dedicated that you felt that you shouldn't be there. Everything to took he replaced immediately, even standing in everyone's way Came up to the table and lifted my plate off me (!) When I looked shocked, he Said it was easier for him if I used a tray and put all my things on the tray. Very overwhelming, as if we were in his "house".
Very professional staff, very welcoming. Very dedicated to their jobs.

The twin room booked was quiet. However, it seemed only big enough for a single person. There was only one towel, one pillow on each bed, only one paper cup in the bathroom. The shower was difficult to get into and the water temperature difficult to control, I almost burnt myself. The breakfast the next morning was also disappointing and not at all like the picture online. When leaving the hotel, I noticed the other rooms were much bigger and better and guessed I had been given a bad room at a high price. The information online says there is a Chinese Restaurant across the rod but fails to say that the restaurant is closed on Mondays so we had sandwiches from the garage supermarket.
Nothing really. The room was quiet and overlooked the garden.

The room was dingy and dark and very very basic, a small piece of soap by the sink. the bed looked grubby and I had no intention of sleeping in it. There were a lot of young men hanging about outside reception and I was not happy about leaving my car there. We paid before we saw the room, but that did not stop us from getting in the car and finding somewhere else.

Shower towels were a bit old and worn . Both of mine were marked so I used my own . The car park is spacious but wide open to anyone right by a crossroads
Lovely hotel situated on the main junction in the town . Very quiet . Very helpful friendly staff . Very nice Chinese buffet restaurant just over the road or you can go down to the companion hotel restaurant down the road and get 15% off your meal . Bed was very comfy , literally closed around me
