Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe loo (with sink) was separate from the bathroom. The 2 narrow wardrobes don't have doors, why?
The room was bigger than expected and had a lovely balcony with sea view which was great for a relaxing few moments.

SingaporeOn my first night, the square beside my room had many people gathered and they were shouting and drinking. I didn't sleep well. The basin didn't drain properly throughout my stay.
The staff were very nice and polite. Excellent.

FranceI booked a family room with enough beds for 3 adults & 2 kids, but when I arrived they charged us +85 EUR more. They should have given us the correct number when we booked instead. Besides, their cards to access the elevator and the room didn't work very well. We once had to go down to the reception desk twice to fix them. They told us that we should not keep the cards with our phones and our bank cards, because it may affect their room card. This sounds ridiculous! They should have updated their outdated technology instead!
The room was spacious and clean. My kids loved the giant teddy bear and the toys in the lobby.

Because ı travel a lot some hotels make the customer wait too much front desk. accor hotels are best at check in process not need wait. it was very big room , bed was comfortable , balcony was big , everyday They put 01 litre water free.keetle tea coffee facilities Even chocolate drink for kids.very silent hotel in the center. next there is shopping mall. to main street very easy reach Because there is tram in front of hotel. metro from st charles station comes to the hotel tram post. airport bus to st. charles train station. then easy come to the hotel with baggages.also there is restaurant but I did not try.

United KingdomThe room was poor, dated 80's style burgandy MDF, bathroom smelt of urine, air freshener was used via air con, poor cooling of air con, poor facilities and value for money. I paid for a junior suite and got 3 star 1980's condition room.
The location was good

Georgia1. Location - it is not city centre, I wanted in the heart of Marseilles and I was mistaken by the name of the hotel. It is more offices zone and has nothing in common with real Marseille... It was highly disappointing. 2. It hasn't the direct view on the sea, only the side view and very small portion of the sea is visible 3. This hotel shouldn't be included in the filtre "view", cause it doesn't have any kind of special view - it is overlooking hotel golden tulip... 4. Room facilities- shampoo and soap are terrible... take yours if you choose this hotel 5. Hotel equipment is toooo old, room locks don't work and we had to wait for 10-20minutes until we could get inside the room. And they sent technician when we were resting and not when we could be out for a walk... it is really frustrating someone drilling your room when you are on vacation. 6. Room service terrible - plates with eaten food were left outside by other guests, directly in hotel corridors and were not taken by hotel staff for 2 days... this hotel is completely inappropriate to the price we paid...
Big room size and free late check out...

FranceI booked a superior suite with sea view, payed extra money for it, 110€ per night , when i got to the hotel it was a room on the first floor with no view at all, it was very close to the road we could hear all the noise, we couldn't even open the curtains or the windows because we were very close to the road I asked the staff if there was any other room because this was not what i reserved, they were very rude. They didn't even ask me what's my room or look for a solution They said we are fully booked and others have booked their rooms before you did ( although i booked my room 2 months before my vacation) It was a very bad experience i am very disappointed and will never come back to this hotel.
The room is big and clean Close to the bus ans train

United KingdomWe were next to a couple who where incredibly loud and fighting. We called reception twice but nothing was done. We suggested being moved but the hotel staff would not.
The location was good. Easy access into the city and great transport links if you opt for public transport vs walking. Breakfast was disappointing. Its available from 06.30-11.00 on a Sunday but they ran out of bacon by 09.00.
