Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Romania- the keys demagnetised, we had to go to the reception twice for this issue; - the water pressure was very poor in the shower; - the room hallway light didn’t work, neither the switch from the lamp (had to plug/unplug); - overall feeling of a 3 star room, because of how the bathroom and some other appliances looked; - old elevators with bumpy stops.
- The room was nice, the lobby was welcoming as well as the staff. - Good connection to the entire city as there is a tram station nearby and the train station is in walking distance. - Our room on the 1st floor came with a quiet, nice terrace. - toiletries, bathrobes and shoes provided.

United StatesAn ideal location just a few blocks from the train station. We don't really need (or enjoy paying for) super upscale, and this Novotel is the perfect balance of down to earth and comfortable (we've stayed at two other hotels near the station and both were a little downscale for our taste and comfort). The staff was great - friendly and helpful. My bag didn't make it to the airport and then didn't make it during our stay at the Novotel, and they called us as soon as it was delivered to let us know it was there. The restaurant/bar is comfortable and the food above average (we had a dinner and two lunches there, and the breakfast is quite generous). We'll stay here again when we come back to Bordeaux.

I forgot the names of the two clerks at the reception (around 12h00 on Sunday) but they were perfect and diligent and they should be praised for their "prestation". The following day, being late for the breakfast, we were properly and generously served at the bar with coffee and viennoiseries

FranceAt night the hotel doors are closed and you have to call the reception to open the door for you. It is not comfortable. We had to wait 10 minutes. It would be better if hotel guests could open the main doors of the hotel using a key card.
The hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the train station. The center of the old town is a 20-minute walk. The hotel itself is clean, the staff is friendly.

United KingdomOnly one thing to mention - the shower head in our bathroom was loose and made showering difficult and the water was very slow to drain, resulting in the tray filling with water.
The lobby was informal and welcoming, with lots of colourful paintings and objects. The lifts worked perfectly and the room was spacious, comfortable and clean. There was a nice welcoming message left in the room which was a nice touch. All the staff were lovely and very helpful. The breakfast was superb.

The hotel was generally very good. Staff were well above average, they were all excellent: smiling, friendly, helpful. The breakfast was excellent and for a wide range of taste. I did not intend of having breakfast but jet lag push me downstairs around 9AM ... what a good move :-) The hotel/room were clean and quiet (even with the tram running in the front street). Very weel located at a small walk from the station and walking distance from Old Bordeaux and very nice restaurants with a wide range of prices.
