MiHotel felt more like an AirBnB than a hotel. There was no reception and I couldn't access the room until 17:00, which is not a problem per se, but the only option for leaving my bags was at the office which closed at 19:00. I was constantly clock-watching as I was concerned about not making it back in time. Breakfast was included in the price which was delivered "between 7:30 and 8:30" there was no choice and it was left in a box on the doormat. I would rather have declined breakfast and got something myself as the kitchen was equipped with a nespresso machine. No shampoo and no slippers.

Beautifully appointed room that was a great size and well-equipped. Location was convenient for the central part of Lyon, including public transport links.

The address on booking said 26, the mail after purchase said 52 which was a bit confusing. Arriving late at Lyon, it was tricky to find the entrance to number 52 and calling the contact number (around 7pm) just went to voicemail which was a tad frustrating.

Great interior. Well set up and comfortable. The breakfast was filling enough for one person and it was not difficult to find the nearest metros. Superior room Topaze I recommend for sure.

Not particularly helpful booking staff but cleaning staff were great. Not that Mihotel could do anything about it but the construction work going on near the entrance was annoying with noxious smell and noise. Would stay again if we knew the neighboring building work was completed.

Our first experience with Mihotel was more like an AirBnb experience than a hotel stay. Location was great and we had easy access to shops and restaurants all around us. We appreciated the extra room in the unit to spread out and eat in when we wanted to do so.

Slippers should be made available along with the nice robes provided. The provision of tea towels or paper towels in the kitchen would be welcome as it is a bit awkward to wash dishes/clean up without something to dry off dishes and surfaces. Housekeeping was a bit inconsistent, rubbish was left on my second day in both the bins and recyclable materials that did’t fit in the bins that were left next to them. The fire alarm went off at 4am during my second night which ruined my day a bit as I couldn’t get back to sleep after that and on my last night it went off just after midnight. I think this is due to other guests smoking in the apartments (I have seen someone holding a cigarette out of the window and puffing away at it - as if that would stop the smell and the alarm from going off). MiHotel should really clamp down on people smoking inside the apartments. Breakfast was a bit meh - it was already included in my nightly rate, so I had it delivered every day but the quality was disappointing and I did not like that the box containing the food was just left on the doormat, so you pick it up with all the grime and dirt of Lyon’s streets attached to it. Boxes should maybe left on a little foldable table? Also, there was no juice left in the fridge for breakfast - only the minibar juices (pear and I think apricot) at like 8 euros for a 33cl bottle. The Wifi didn’t connect for me but I rang the office and they provided me with access to another network. The in-room safe worked for me after I had set a passcode and was able to open and close it but then after not having used it for a couple of days I could not open it again for some reason but again, ringing the office remedied this.

Great location just mere steps away from Place Bellecour with plenty of local amenities and within easy walking distance to Vieux Lyon and other parts of the city, tastefully decorated with high quality fixings, furniture and decoration. The bathtub and shower were great - a real pleasure to use.

It’s odd to have the toilet across the room from the sink. Also there is no privacy when you need to bathe which would be awkward for many people. Needs more garbage cans and bigger garbage bins. The little ones by the door were inconvenient and quickly overflowing. I think the dishes were washed in the sink in the room which doesn’t get very hot so I am worried germs are not getting killed. Also the floor always felt like it needed better cleaning. I would take my shoes off at the door and the floor had what looked like dog hairs and my whole stay there I don’t think it was vaccumed. Also restock the waters in the fridge and provide more water.

There was no front desk! This place is more an airbnb than a hotel. We deliberately wanted to stay in a hotel not an airbnb because the benefits of having a 24/7 front desk really are important. The morning we left there were no taxis to be found because it was so early, thankfully we had figured out the metro. Had there been a front desk we could have asked them to call one for us. If you run out of soap, toiletries, tissues, towels, or need any service you can’t just call the front desk or go down to one. I will say the property manager was relatively fast but we still had to wait overnight because it was late and there was no management on site. Checking in is tricky, it’s all key pad and remotely done. Again we got in late, and when I emailed the manager for help, they couldn’t respond. We did figure it out, but better instructions or someone being available to make sure guests check in would be helpful.

The suite we had, Rubis had a nice proper kitchen with a dining area. The tub inside the room had keys. After a long day of walking, it was awesome to come back to. The place is very large. You can spread out. It is like a studio apartment. Location is great, quiet street right off of the main area. Amazing shopping. There is a great cafe right at your doorstep.

The check in time is not before 5pm! That's too late! There is no facility to even leave your luggage at the property! Very very inconvenient and annoying! The kitchen has a cooking range and burners but no vessels to cook and no kitchen towels.

Lighting was terrible and there was no where to put clothing or hang jackets. I also didn't know this room was a lovers den, so that was funny for my daughter and me. Staff off location was hard to get a hold of and I was told early check in was no problem but our room was not ready for us.

Nowhere to sit, nowhere to put clothes, unable to contact staff quickly when had problems. Couldn’t get into property as given wrong code. If you are in the Jaspe suite its is no 52 not 26 as per Booking.com It is more an AirBnB, no reception.

This was not a hotel - it was an AirBnB style apartment with an expensive mini fridge - water 3€, crips 5€ etc!! No reception, no people, no common areas - all this became clear only after booking. The room also only had one obscured window that was locked, so little natural light, and no external view - it was like living in the cellar!! Again this was not clear from the site or description.The "customer service" number was an answerphone.

MY MONEY WAS STOLEN FROM THE SAFETY BOX. SOMEONE HAS OPENED THE SAFETY BOX BY A PASS CODE (WHICH OPENS ALL THE SAFETY BOXES IN THE HOTEL ) AND STOLE MY MONEY. I CALLED IMMEDIATELY THE MANAGEMENT, THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING, NOT EVEN AN INVESTIGATION OR QUESTIONING THE MADE WHO WAS THERE IN MY ROOM CLEANING IT BEFORE I CHECKED MY SAFETY BOX. I EVEN FILLED A COMPLAINT AT THE POLICE STATION, DESPITE THEY PROMISED ME TO SEND ME THE RESULT OF THEIR INVESTIGATION BY E-MAIL, THEY DIDN'T SEND ME ANYTHING. I BELIEVE THE POLICE IS ALSO LIARS AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE HARMED PERSONS. SO LYON IS VERY BAD PROTECTED, ITS LIKE SYRIA OR AFGHANISTAN OR SUDAN...

1st : my money 200 $ and 900 €, was stolen from inside the safe box in my room.(the maid was there when I came back to my room) 2nd: I am still waiting from booking to reimburse me, that was said in their email. 3d: the manager is a lier, bcz he promise me that I will see the film of the camera , and he never called me back. 4rh: the room topaze had a very bad smell, the smell of sewer. The downside lock of window is not working. The lamps over the bed were burned and the right one was missing.

Nothing was good. All was very very bad.
