The pool is simply a plunge pool. It is tiny.

Breakfast offered a good variety. Lovely bar. Helpful staff. Good location for getting there quickly once arrived in Avoriaz.

We came at a very busy time of year so room service was limited. It could be very busy in both restaurants if you don’t book in TV in room only had two BBC English channels. Suggestion: Maybe an opportunity to upload Netflix accounts is worth looking as we stayed for 9 nights and didn’t ski every day 😊

The hotel is very hip, modern, contemporary & cosy. The staff were fantastic from the front desk, to bar staff (who make the best cocktails & expresso martinis), right down to the service depts. Food was very good. We ate there through the day on a couple of occasions. Good choice at breakfast Location was excellent - Great place to ski ⛷️ The pool was cute with a beautiful view and the jets helped our ski legs! The Sauna was very nice too. We all had on site massages which were wonderful & highly recommended. The Christmas Eve entertainment jazz band were fabulous ❤️

Friendly staff, good breakfast, great spa, decent cocktail bar and well appointed and clean rooms, right in the middle of Avoriaz. Thanks to the whole team, especially the night porter who kindly took our bags up to the parking area for us VERY early this morning. We will definitely be back to enjoy hotel Mil8!!!

No drawers for your clothes in this first floor bedroom and only blackout curtains so it felt a bit goldfish bowl like opening the curtains to let in the light with pedestrians outside being able to see you sitting up in bed. One staff member blew a bit hot and cold on the charm front but everyone else was very friendly. Breakfast was adequate but the coffee machines weren’t working and one morning the scrambled eggs were stone cold.

Very close to the underground car park and a supermarket, so points for that. As it was summer in a ski resort we didn’t need to be nearer the action and could easily walk luggage from the car. We loved the modern design inside and stayed in a Cocoon room which was cosy and comfy but nothing like as small as I’d feared (and, across three nights, about £180 cheaper than the next category up). Food was good, prices a bit expensive but they do have to cart everything up a mountain first. The small indoor outdoor infinity pool ingeniously has jets both ends that create a current to swim against and the outdoor terrace with a bar downstairs at the back faces the slopes and is a great place to people and Avoriaz watch.

Breakfast was nice but the same every day. Would have been nice to see some alternatives, eggs Benedict, porridge and Bircher muesli. Toilet not in the bathroom.

Due to the central location of the hotel, the street in front of it it can be quite busy.

Excellent location and with amazing views of the mountain and the resort. The hotel was an amazing place to stay, all spaces were designed with attention to detail and to very high standards. The heated pool and the sauna overlooking the mountain were a delight. Ski in and out of the hotel was very convenient and there also were heated ski lockers to store our skis which was very handy. Staff were polite and accommodated our needs.

Room was very noisy you could hear everything outside from people going home from late bars to bin trucks etc. The hotel moved our room but it was still very noisy.

The lay out of the breakfast area could have been better and a distinct lack of water available in the rooms.

Good choice and quality of food for breakfast and also great bar for drinks in the evening. There is a lovely swimming pool and sauna as well as the option of a massage (but we did not have enough time for the latter).

Location of the hotel was fantastic- perfect to ski and get to ski lift. Super breakfast with a great variety of things for all the family. All staff were wonderful- really helpful and approachable.

The shower/bath water tended to be lukewarm not hot. The cold tap, conversely, was always a bit too warm for drinking water. The spa isn’t really a spa - there is a sauna on one level, outdoor pool on another (not warm enough to stay in for long) and treatment room on another.

Amazing location - true ski in, ski out. Nice, comfortable room with beautiful balcony and lovely view. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good. Cosy bar/reception area. Fab boot room with locker for each room and heated boot hangers.

- Booking.com should not rent this room for 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 big teenagers. The sofa bed in the "living room" was extremely uncomfortable. My two tall 17-year-old children did not get a good night sleep with the grid from the box spring hurting their backs. This is not good after a whole day of skiing. We finally complained to the hotel and they immediately wanted to help and added a pad between mattress and the spring. However, it was not enough. I wish booking.com would have made sure that everything would be comfortable for a family of four with two 17-year-old children. And charge way less than we were charged as this is not what I call a room with two beds. - The window in the "living room" did not open. They told us it was condemned. That made for a very warm room with no air even if we left the doors to the other room open. Again, it made for difficult nights. As we left all our shoes in that room, that was not very pleasant for our children (and us). Again, this is a room for two adults and the sofa and living room should just be to watch TV, not sleep.

Breakfast was excellent with great staff. Very cool pool with jet streams. Overall extremely welcoming and helpful staff. Especially Camille and her male colleague in the afternoon (sorry don't know his name) and the restaurant and bar staff. When we had problems, they tried and addressed them. The lounge and bar are so inviting and make for a sweet family atmosphere.
